    In the end they missed out,.After negotiating with Freiburg and the keeper for weeks, and all that talk how this deal would be done and dusted in short time, Schalke didn't manage to agree terms with them, and Schwolow joins Hertha BSC instead. Will be interesting to learn whom Schalke sign as their new first choice keeper now, if they sign anybody for this role at all.

    Why should the borders be closed? It's not like they force people at gun point to go there. If somebody is willing to take the risk and travel there, and are prepared to take the planned protective measures, what rightful reasons would they have to forbid it? Citizen's aren't toddlers and the state isn't their nanny.

    Generally speaking, it's hard to tell how many members a club exactly have, cause it's hard to quantify the "Karteileichen"- a German expression for "members", who haven't paid their fee for a while and still are counted, although they might not be interested anymore or even dead.

      This was a bit of a strange year, We where what 4th before Kovac resigned? The quality was always there in the squad but we nearly had to run the table to win it once flick took helm.

      I think it's competitive in a different sense, when you look at the last few seasons you've got Chelsea and City wining it a couple of times + Leicester and now us. But some of those years, the winner was someone who won it outright pretty early. Some of those years it wasn't. And I think it's pretty rare you get a season like last season where you've got us and City basically needing to be as near perfect as possible to win the league.

      But I think one main reason people say our league is more competitive than others is there's so many teams at the start of a season who could theoretically win it and because there's so many sides that can throw money around to bring in pretty good players. I think the biggest argument against it being the most competitive in Europe is there's pretty large gaps between the good sides and the bad sides. Look at the bottom of the table in England - it's not the most exciting relegation battle in the world by a long shot.

      Looking at the leagues this year, it's hard to say that the German league wasn't more competitive. I think even for top sides though, no player can ever really take it for granted in the premier league that any game will be easy. But by the same token, I think for any top side in Germany no player can ever really take it for granted that any Bundesliga match will be easy. They're both top leagues and they're both competitive, just in different ways.

She's credited for steering the German nation through the worldwide financial crisis without them having to accept too harsh losses and stabilizing the standard of living in Germany, I admit, that sounds a bit boring but is exactly, what the electorate was looking for. Her being chancellor for so long is partly due to her undisputed skill to eliminate opposition (both that from other parties as well as that within CDU/CSU) by making her strategy look as the only plausible one. By the way, who thinks there is a strong mining lobby in Germany is as wrong as they could possibly be.

    Got a feeling the knives are out for Kohfeldt now, especially so since I read Werder legend Rune Bratseth, who isn't notorious for continually voicing an opinion on his former club, said he can't see Werder's turnaround with their current staff.

    Depends on the Bundesland (federal country) we're talking about, as school policy is country matter. In my country only parts of the students, the the younger one's up to 13 and those taking their final exams this year have returned, classes are reduced to a maximum size of 15. How they want social distancing remaining protected, when all the other students attend school as well is a question yet to be decided, one idea is some sort of rotation.

    Not only in Germany, as the study you're referring to is saying that about 50% of the cases in a territory wouldn't be recognized because the infested persons wouldn't show or feel any symptoms.

    Actually both isn't a good indicator, since the difference of inhabitants of the USA and the inhabitants of Belize is that immense that comparing death count is downright idiotic.

    Yes, the decisive factor whether pupils return to school is their age. Pupils in elementary school and what is called Sekundarstufe I, so basically pupils up to the age of 16 will return to school, while older ones are expected to be schooled as before. That's an essential difference from opening schools for every pupil, still less limited as handled in the UK.

    Oddly the most nurses I know would prefer receiving a reasonable salary over being applauded.

    One reason is we have 29.2 ICU per 100k inhabitants: In comparison Italy have 12.2, France 11.6, Spain 9.7 and the UK have 6.6. Germany are at the moment even capable to provide intensive care to patients from other countries, ie Italy and France.
