A lot of things in life are harmful when abused; moderation is the key with everything. People have used and will continue using various recreational drugs for as long as they exist; nothing's going to change that - whether it's legal or not. I'd say it makes much more sense to legalise a relatively harmless low-risk drug that also has medical uses and regulate it instead of leaving it to sketchy drug dealers in unregulated black market which makes it by far more accessible to kids and by far increases the potential exposure to hard drugs with questionable quality. I'm also of opinion that grown ups should be free to decide what they can and cannot put into their bodies as long as they do not pose danger to society and I'm not a fan of banning things. But that's a different argument altogether.

Nor do I have anything against weed; it just isn't for me... I can't understand why it's not legal everywhere though to be honest. One of the most harmless "drugs" there is and has an extensive medicinal use as well. My mum has an autoimmune disorder and a disability because of it; smoking hashish every once in a while helps a lot with her condition.

I barely ever get wrecked these days as well but every once in a while there's still some unexpected spontaneous night out that makes you regret it the following day I have no interest in cannabis or any other drugs. A beer or two in the evening after work is just perfect for me...

Haha. Nah it's more of a sign that it wasn't treated right some 20 years ago... Now hangovers getting worse is certainly a sign of getting old...

It's alright. My right knee and ankle (old injuries) give me trouble from time to time especially when it's cold or rainy outside and I also caught my first cold in years - but other than that all is more or less fine...

It's rumoured that Disney were really pissed when Benioff & Weiss signed a deal with Netflix as they thought (understandably) that it would interfere with their work on the new trilogy of Star Wars movies. However it seems that it was a mutual decision instead of Disney straight out firing them.

Not a rumour!

I haven't read the books either but I have a soft spot for fantasy adventure so I expect it to be good... Liked the pilot episode at least.

Sounds great @Grizzly21. I'm starting to look into either a Trans-Siberian rail trip from Moscow to Beijing via the Trans-Mongolian route (and then the connecting train from Beijing to Saigon) or a Silk Road rail trip from Moscow to Beijing via the Central Asia. The second option interests me more but it would require a bit more effort to plan and sort everything out. It's been on my wishlist for quite a while now and I'm starting to seriously consider it for next year. The costs seem lower than I expected them to be and that would be a massive trip to go on...

All four great classics? Nice... I've read Romance of the Three Kingdoms and while I appreciate it and its complexity, it's too heavy with battles and political scheming for me to properly enjoy it. Journey to the West always fascinated me due to mythology & eastern philosophies, allegories, humour and adventurous nature of the story. It was also the last movie (TV adaptation of the novel) I watched together with my Grandma before she passed away and we loved it so it already has a very special place in my heart.

Decided to finally dive into The Journey to the West... I'm familiar with the story as I've read Waley's abridged translation (Monkey) and seen a few TV adaptations but after playing Jade Empire I thought it's time to explore the full text of the classic. Volume I coming up... Three more in the queue.

Talking about RPGs - found this infographic today. Quite a nice overview. https://unleashthegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/best-rpgs-infographic-list.jpg

Which one are you using now? I had tried NordVPN briefly in the past but found it buggy and the UI of its app felt kind of unresponsive and it offered limited advanced options. The speeds left a lot to be desired too. And now this... I've been using ExpressVPN now for a while after trying most of the popular ones.

Haha. My point was, most women looking for men in a pub aren't exactly looking for a long-term dating & relationship, just like most men who look for women there aren't either. So it's a fair exchange for both parties and therefore serves it's purpose. It's not my thing at all anyway

That's kind of the point of looking for an easy "date" in a pub I'd say

Read this as dating instead darting and was a bit confused for a while

Nooooooooo! I completed Jade Empire already It's actually one of the very few games that I actually managed to finish; I usually abandon most of them after a while as it fails to hold my interest. But this one was a completely different case... Everything about it was perfect to me - the story, the gameplay, the combat, the dialogues, even the side quests (I know I said most of that already in my previous post but that's just how much I loved it haha). i love how easy it is to get into and there's no steep learning curve so it's easy for a casual gamer like me to just chill and enjoy it. The whole mythological angle as well as bits and pieces of eastern philosophy & teachings woven into the story were particularly great and the setting made the game pretty unique I think (but then I'm a sucker for East Asian mythology and culture). Seriously this was probably the first game where I got really emotionally invested in the story and actually cared for the characters from the start until the very end. Also Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom must be the best side character ever The only negative - it's too short Took me 16 hours to complete the game (I definitely missed some side quests though as the necropolis with it's ghosts annoyed me a bit and I was excited for the main story to progress) and the ending felt a bit rushed so I'd say that the pacing is a bit off. I also suspect that for some the game might be too easy (many ways to "break" the game by using certain styles in combat) but I personally like it that way because I want to enjoy the story instead of getting frustrated at failing missions and losing fights again and again But that's just minor flaws really anyway. The major problem - now I want more And now I also realised that were was never a sequel or a reboot made Easily one of my personal favourites now. Actually on the top of my hypothetical list of my favourite games ever; I even liked it more than both KOTOR games. Really happy I asked @Dr. Gonzo for recommendation and even happier he came up with it but now I have a new problem - I want something similar...

Oh I'm not surprised; I just love to see that! Motorsports, science, space and technology are pretty much my main interests bar photography so it's always nice to see others who appreciate it as well. They probably banned Seb from entering the premises exactly because they're afraid of that
