  1. There's the question of him making a full recovery, too. An open fracture of the tibia and the fibula is no joke. He might not have much choice, in the end.
  2. I think Neuer will not play a single match for Bayern anymore. I just wonder whether it'll be the end of his career, or if he spend a few more seasons elsewhere. A return to Schalke would be pretty cool, tbh.
  3. How do you like it so far? I could never get into García Márquez, for whatever reason. Both this one and Love in the Time of Cholera, which I thought was extremely annoying, especially in terms of characters.
  4. Happy belated birthday, @Eco. Hope you had a great day.
  5. I know there are probably quite a few fans who are not very happy with the news, but I fucking love it and I'm really happy for him.
  6. Challenge accepted. I will order some wildlife soup on purpose and will come to visit you in Düsseldorf afterwards.
  7. Going back to Bangkok in a few weeks. Decided to explore the Chinatown this time, as I have passed it by a few times, but never really went there properly at all... It is supposed to look almost the same like it did some 50-70 years ago; so not like modern Chinatowns in other countries like Singapore etc. Looking forward to all the street food and Peking duck!
  8. Yeah it only shows how it went airborne. Anyway, it was another great race. The top 3 finished within 1.4s, which is impressive for a 12h race, especially since there were no interruptions in the last 4 hours. Some drama too, as with less than an hour to go, Maro Engel in the GruppeM Mercedes AMG tried to overtake Jules Gounon in the leading SunEnergy 1 Mercedes AMG, but didn't manage to make a clean pass and forced the leading car to spin, resulting in a drive through penalty for his team. They returned to the track in 3rd, having lost P2 to Manthey Porsche, with Matt Campbell then chasing Gounon and fighting for the win up until the very final lap. It was 3rd in a row Bathurst victory for Gounon, and second in a row for GruppeM team. Valentino Rossi and team finished in P6. Another endurance race next weekend, this time the Asian Le Mans season opener...
  9. It's only +6 at Bathurst, so the race has to start behind the safety car as Pirelli tyres need two laps to warm up
  10. Bought two rolls of Kodak Ultramax 400. 16$ per roll. Fucking hell.
  11. Massive crash in free practice for Bathurst 12h today, Keith Kassulke's Mustang went airborne in a high-speed corner and crashed into the wall. The car pretty much split in two. Driver is ok!
  12. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-64474594 So... is everyone ready for the next pandemic?
  13. Oh great, more segregation. Like W series, this makes absolutely no sense to me - so if it's basically a F4 exclusively for women, wouldn't it be better to identify the most promising girl talents starting with grassroots karting, and sponsor them to allow them to compete properly with the boys from the get go? Oh and the first announced driver is already 25, and has been rejected by W series previously. Very promising.

    The Cringe Topic

We must know the same guy, haha. It's so pathetic. She didn't love you, and she's not going to. I feel sorry for them, and at the same time I also wish they'd just shut up.

Yes! And even if they do, they are not going to give a fuck. It's over. It's so hard to see.

    The Cringe Topic

People who go through a breakup and then keep on posting some generic images with "deep" relationship quotes on the social media as a passive-aggressive dig at their ex, not realizing that a) nobody cares, and b) it's cringe as fuck.

    That haloumi looks perfect!
  18. Don't think that's even a common symptom anymore. Get well soon!
  19. The Killing Fields is a pretty good movie, I think watching it as a kid was the first time I learned about the events there. There's also a new-ish film available on Netflix and based on a well-known memoir of a survivor, called First They Killed My Father. I would actually recommend it over The Killing Fields, as that one is told mostly from the perspective of a Western journalist, whereas First They Killed My Father is authentically Cambodian and uses Cambodian actors, music, and language.
  20. If you want a similar harrowing experience and you find yourself in Southeast Asia one day, make sure not to skip the former S-21 prison and the Killing Fields in Cambodia. It's crazy how little of it is known and taught in Europe.
  21. PM me your profile link when you get it... Or post it in the Photography thread, if you don't mind publicity I've had an account there for ages, and while I haven't used it for quite a while, I'd love to get back into it, too...
