What is this? A list of most useless superpowers? I'd choose 2 and 5. 2 because you can always sell gravel, and 5 because it would be fun to fuck about with people's toasters
  2. Yeah, even if the attitudes are changing, there's still a stigma around men's mental health. Suicide is the single biggest cause of death among men under 50, and yet there is still this societal pressure on men to always be strong, resilient, stoic, unemotional and to not show any "weaknesses". Stupid af.
  3. Yeah, even if it has improved massively in the last decade or so, it still can be a hard thing to admit and talk about. Especially for men.
  4. Quite an important read. Respect to him for seeking help and speaking up.
  5. Hope he gets a lot of playing time at Kaiserslautern and returns stronger in the summer. He definitely still has a role to play for us, but understandably wants more minutes than he is getting now.
  6. Yeah, but what I meant was that sharks as a species are older than rings of Saturn Sharks have existed on Earth for over 450 million years, whereas the rings of Saturn are estimated to have formed around 100 million years ago... In fact, sharks are also older than trees, and they have survived four of the five mass extinctions - the only animal to do so.
  7. Sharks are older than the rings of Saturn.
  8. When the first Star Wars movie came out, France was still executing people by guillotine.
  9. Well, it's Dia de los Muertos so the whole movie is centered around the concepts of Death and Living. Nothing really scary outside of the aesthetics, but I think it could be a bit heavy for very young kids.

Geckos Cute, funny, cool, and also extremely useful as they catch and eat all unwanted insects that make it into the house during the day. I even give names to the ones who decide to temporary stay at my place

I like scorpions though, they are cool. Anything better than those fuckers:

I was scratched and playfully "bitten" (well, more like chewed and nibbled on) numerous times by a puppy a few years ago, and then found out that he was put down because of rabies. I got extremely lucky there, I think. Other than that, not many bites for me, except your usual mosquito and tiny fly nonsense. One wasp sting in my whole life. Almost stepped on a scorpion once, brushed lightly against it, but there was no defensive reaction, thankfully.

And then disappeared into thin air... Could have just been a vampire, after all. Or a tiny Luis Suarez.

Yeah, looks like it, I'd just put some antibiotic cream on it.

    Or a vampire...
  18. Child's car seat from the 50s
  19. In all seriousness, I do use binoculars for stargazing, and it's even more eye opening, but I always feel a bit uneasy if I do that somewhere where there are other houses/apartments around
  20. One of my near future goals is to get a telescope again, bring it out on the street, and show the kids and other passers-by the beauty of the universe. As you said, it is truly eye (and mind) opening...
  21. Amazing, isn't it? It should be one of those apps that are pre-installed in every phone by default
  22. That's the web version, I meant the app for the phone though!
  23. Make sure that you go into Settings (the six dots at the bottom left) and activate sensors, so that the view of the sky changes live as you move your phone! And don't forget activating the night mode in the same settings, too
