  1. Check out 500px instead of Instagram for photo stuff, it's like Instagram but purely for photography enthusiasts and minus the "influencers" and all the drama!
  2. Yeah, I suspected that you were thinking of distances in North American standards A somewhat related anecdote, my dad once went from Wuppertal to Paris by car with one of the Wuppertaler SV stars back then in the 70s FOR BREAKFAST on the weekend That's about a 6 hour trip... Just to put it into perspective, haha. Nobody batted and eyelid, although granted, they did not posted it on Instagram either back then
  3. Maybe he's another immortal like Keanu Reeves...
  4. Thomas Delaney has joined Hoffenheim on loan until the end of the season...
  5. I personally don't get it. A flight from Munich to Paris is just a bit over an hour... So he flies in the morning, attends some show, and then takes another flight home on the same day. How is that a problem, if he has a day off? Surely, it's his free time, and he has a right to decide how he spends it? As long as he's not drinking and partying for two nights straight or taking part in some dangerous or exerting activities, I don't see how would it be an issue? What if he wanted to visit family in Stuttgart which is over 2 hour trip by car, would Brazzo throw a fit too?... I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for Neuer's incident and Bayern's recent dip in form, nobody would have even mentioned it...
  6. I'm not too critical of Ducksch, personally. Even if he won't ever be a goal-machine in the 1. Bundesliga and even if there are some other things to be unhappy with, he still managed to get 3 goals and 7 assists so far, not so bad for someone in a promoted team! He still has something to offer to the team, in my opinion.
  7. I was so sure that nothing would happen in the remaining transfer window, I haven't even bothered to read the news There were rumours about Maximilian Philipp, but I just couldn't believe it. Another clever transfer given our resources; I wonder if there's an option to buy at the end of the season. Philipp should at least provide competition for Ducksch, at the very least! A bit disappointed that Burke didn't work out for us; he did score some very important goals at the start of the season, but was unable to build on that, unfortunately.
  8. Haha, since you said it last year, now I always think of it as Bratwurst 12h too I have no idea who these NBC commentators are... I watched the stream with the IMSA Radio/Radio Le Mans commentary, they do a really good job... And yeah, I generally also struggle with American commentators
  9. Brilliant shots, @Viva la FCB! I love the moodiness of some of them (the first one, the last one, and the skyline one), and this one is probably my favourite: Love how much there is going on in that picture! The swimming birds, the flying birds, the one caught in the mid-jump and all the water drops around it. Really nice capture So how does the new camera feel???
  10. I assume nobody else watched Daytona? Turned out to be quite a race.. The final hours were fun to watch, and the final minutes were dramatic. They actually needed a photo finish to determine the winner in the LMP2 class Proton Competition car managed to overtake the leading CrowdStrike Racing right at the finish line and won by just 0.016 seconds Bring on Bathurst 12h next weekend...
  11. Salihamidzic always comes across as a massive dickhead to me, but then I remember that he's just trying to fill in Uli Hoeneß' shoes...
  12. Here comes FC Hollywood again Whenever they are not winning every match, they are at each other's throats. You love to see it!
  13. Yeah, but it does make you wonder why those statements made it into the press today if everyone knew about it since 2021. There's heavy political games going on, I think
  14. I don't get the joke I'm afraid
  15. https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/64432277 Bet he'll be gone before the end of the year.
  16. Oh great, we really needed another movie or TV show with the name Django in the title... must be at least several dozen of them out there Anyway, this looks like some kind of a re-imagination/adaptation of Corbucci's original Django of 1966 starring Franco Nero... Which is a good thing, as it was one of my first westerns and also one of my favourites overall. It also has this European spaghetti western look, which I love, but I also hate that they included two of the movies' iconic scenes into the trailer already Will definitely give it a go once it's out!
  17. The new season of IMSA kicks off with 24H at Daytona tomorrow, race start at 19:40 CET. This will be the first time we'll see the new hypercars in race action! Lucas Auer has had a big shunt in the first free practice after which he had to be extracted from the completely totaled car by cutting through the roll cage, and has several significant vertebrae fractures in his lower back
  18. Re-reading this: because I recently got this one, which is a sort of a follow-up: The former is probably one of the most harrowing, heart-wrenching books I've ever read; makes me both sad and furious at the same time.
  19. I am going to Thailand in about a month
  20. To put it mildly. Looks like they're going completely crazy there.
