  1. 5-0 win against Frankfurt in the Supercup Alaba had to be substituted with a knee injury, any infos on how long he'll be sidelined?
  2. To be fair, lack of Hollywood gloss was one of the reasons why I enjoyed it so much, I thought it was classy and stylish I liked the characters, the cinematography, the plot and the topics they examined, especially all the stuff about artificial intelligence, human nature, the future (and the past) of humanity. Quite a few interesting ideas there, such as the origins of life on Mars and Earth, didn't expect that! For me, that's proper science fiction, very refreshing...
  3. I thought the very ending was a bit meh and anti-climactic, but I enjoyed the whole series a lot. Short episodes, but with a lot of substance... Looking forward to Season 2!
  4. A US-backed, UAE and Saudi-led coalition airstrike hit a bus carrying mostly children in Yemen; at least 29 children have been confirmed dead, even more injured. The coalition called the strike a “legitimate military action” and accused the Houthi rebels of using children as "human shields".
  5. Yeah, it would probably be better to change the topic title into "Asian football", that way there would probably be more interest in it haha.

I have never seen or heard of them before, either! Haha I really don't do much at all, just donate a few dollars monthly here and there, and take part in a nature photographer's club of sorts... Love having the options though, the nature here is so abundant and fascinating. EDIT: you and Chris both should come and take a tour

It's a golden Moon bear, an extremely rare genetic colour phase, her name is Brandy She was rescued from a forested area which was due to be converted to a palm oil plantation some twenty years ago, and then was brought to the sanctuary.

No Chris, this wasn't taken by me, but it's from a sun and moon bear sanctuary in my local wildlife rescue center. Over 120 rescued sun and moon bears are being cared for here, among other animals. Some are just tiny cubs... I'm sponsoring a clouded leopard and one of the community ranger stations monthly, they are doing a really great job rescuing animals and protecting the rainforest against poachers and illegal loggers ...

Yeah, a fast professional telephoto lens makes a world of difference in photographing sports, fast moving subjects and action shots in general, but you can compensate a lot with the right settings (i.e. fast shutter speed, large aperture, AI Servo focusing, burst mode, etc). Also, consider getting a tripod (or monopod) if you haven't got one yet, it's not expensive and helps A LOT to keep your camera steady and avoid blurring.

It's an entry-level/mid-range DSLR camera, but it's a good one out of interest, what lenses do you use with it?

    What camera is it?
  13. Ha, daddy Stroll bought his son a team. RIP Williams.
  14. I don't know, I googled it too and found something much better
  15. Now, I might just have to download that other one, too
  16. No problem, hope you like it. My father recommended it to me yesterday, and I've been binge watching Season 1 today... Each episode is only 26 minutes, so it's very convenient, haha. Season 2 coming later this year.
  17. Missions (2017) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6445112/ "The series focuses on the crew of a European collaboration spaceship which, with the funding of an eccentric Swiss billionaire, has designs on being the first manned craft to land on Mars. Much to the dismay of all on board however, just before the culmination of their 10-month journey to the Red Planet they are made aware of a video sent by a NASA ship that has overtaken them and already landed on the planet thanks to a revolutionary engine technology that cut the travel time to a fraction of what it was for the Europeans. The bad news doesn’t end there however, as the tape contains a cryptic warning from the Americans pleading with the crew not to land as something far too dangerous is happening on the surface. The crew then learns that the tape was sent days before and there has been no contact with the Americans since. The first episode ends with the crew managing a less than ideal landing on the surface of the planet and a cliffhanger promising there is more to the show than a simple jaunt through the solar system." Science fiction the way it should be, Kubrick would have loved it. And I think at least some of you would enjoy it too. @Bluewolf @Tommy @Viva la FCB
  18. Yeah, it's just so ridiculous that it started as a student protest over road safety, apparently... and now there are riots, beatings, abductions, killings, rape. It's hard to fathom.
  19. WTF is happening in Bangladesh?

Finally caught one of those little fellas in action... Not a great quality, as I saw it unexpectedly and had to shoot with a telephoto lens without a tripod, but it's good for a start
