That's our flu jabs done and dusted for another year, bloody ridiculous though, they booked me and the wife an appointment at Ocean Terminal centre which is 2 miles away in which we ended up getting 2 buses to get there and around 40 minutes. Bloody ridiculous when they have a medical centre in Leith which is about a 30 minutes walking distance away or by bus which would only take us around 10 minutes, the people who arrange this, surely would look at our medical chart on the NHS website and see me and the wife are pensioners over 70 years old with medical problems.

Far and Away (1992) - Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman - Adventure/Drama/Romance - 8.0/10 I am growing to like Tom Cruise in films (not as Reacher though ) and this film we watched ages ago and it came on the tv again today and me and the wife quite enjoyed it.

That Video was what rugby was about in those days, high tackles and the ref just turned a blind eye, rough & ready stuff, watching the England match today and then the Australian match after and that was nothing like the Video of years gone by. But that's the way we played it in my army days, smash the fuck out of some officer on the other team, punch ups, you name it, then after the game, it was up the NAAFI and both teams having a good old piss up and laugh with black eyes, broken noses stitches on your face or body, the good old days.

Lol, forgot all about this thread, cheers @Tommy, how are the twins getting on now @Toinho? Amazing how time flies, the photo below of the three grandsons (Alexander, Kaiden & Conner) was taken in 2015, Alexander & Connor were in Primary School then and wee Kaiden was in nursery, years on and both Alexander & Connor are approaching College or the University stage and Kaiden is now in Primary school, I bloody feel old.

That's me made a cock up, thought my nurse appointment checkup was today in the afternoon, checked my calendar yesterday to see what was on schedule for this month and found out my appointment was for Tuesday, not Wednesday, had to ring up and apologise and reschedule, I would imagine I will get a nasty letter from the surgery. I normally set a reminder on my calendar which would let me know via a text message on my mobile but I forgot to turn it on.

I don't use it and I don't think I ever have, even when donating in here via PayPal, @Rab your thoughts on this as it is used in the donation section? Whenever I donate in here it comes straight from my bank account and not via PP.

Astronomy Picture of the Day 2022 October 9 Auroras over Northern Canada Image Credit & Copyright: Kwon, O Chul (TWAN) Explanation: Gusting solar winds and blasts of charged particles from the Sun resulted in several rewarding nights of auroras back in 2014 December, near the peak of the last 11-year solar cycle. The featured image captured dramatic auroras stretching across a sky near the town of Yellowknife in northern Canada. The auroras were so bright that they not only inspired awe, but were easily visible on an image exposure of only 1.3 seconds. A video taken concurrently shows the dancing sky lights evolving in real time as tourists, many there just to see auroras, respond with cheers. The conical dwellings on the image right are tipis, while far in the background, near the image center, is the constellation of Orion. Auroras may increase again over the next few years as our Sun again approaches solar maximum. VIDEO https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html

Others here will more than likely know better than me but countries like China, Iran and some South American countries are still trading with Russia. Hence, they are still (Russia) getting by for now but from what I have read it will take time for the sanctions to hit really hard. When you look at components for military equipment the Russians that they have been buying from the Nato countries dry up which will affect them in the long run as the likes of the USA, UK and Germany have up-to-date and superior components than the rest of the world.
