Sports minister of Russia has refused to recognize Cricket as a sport in the country.

Not enough doping in it for Russian liking but we have match fixing :what:

No big loss to the sport.

To be fair, it must be impossible trying to play White Ball cricket in the snow.

Back for Father's Day got my dad tickets for a Lord"s Tour and went today.

Great time at an iconic ground. Even learnt a few things which I had no idea about Lord's. So much history here and had the same feelings of when I visited Old Trafford few years back.

Even got a quick glimpse of Jonny Bairstow. He popped in casually in his Ferrari as you do. Barely said hello to us xD

That's actually a bad analogy.

Sorry, I would never compare Maradona to Ben Stokes.

1. Maradona intentionally cheated and never apologised. Stokes incident was a complete freak accident and he still apologised for it.

2. To label Stokes a cheat, which is effectively what it is with that comparison, would be an insult when you have Australians caught on camera trying to rough up a ball or the 3 Pakistani players spot-fixing, not to mention the biggest cheat of all, Hanse Cronje.

Also, Maradona was the greatest footballer of all time. Stokes is, er well, a fairly decent player.

Australia must be licking their lips at the sight of this performance.

Having said that, so must Anderson if he sees players like Murtagh (no disrespect) snapping up wickets with ease.

Ireland had one of the best chances ever to win a test against England at Lord's and royally fucked it up.

They managed a ridiculously SHITE score of 38 runs. Madness.

No one has ever won a Test match against England in their maiden tour to the country except your boys ;)

Amir also announced his retirement from Tests.

I don't mind if he chooses to play little bit of ODIs that is left in him and focusing on T20 leagues as a free agent for the long term.

I've said it before club vs country debate will become a thing in Cricket in near future with the influx of T20 leagues and them having more money and with teams like us or Windies were players are always in a spat with the board focusing on franchise Cricket is a good option than going through all that.

But for someone who should be thankful to be back in the national team even with all the fixing and stuff he just showed no commitment for playing the longer format when he is an important part of the team.
