Administrator Stan Posted July 21, 2019 Administrator Posted July 21, 2019 Back for Father's Day got my dad tickets for a Lord"s Tour and went today. Great time at an iconic ground. Even learnt a few things which I had no idea about Lord's. So much history here and had the same feelings of when I visited Old Trafford few years back. Even got a quick glimpse of Jonny Bairstow. He popped in casually in his Ferrari as you do. Barely said hello to us 1 Quote

Maradona intentionally cheated and never apologised. Stokes incident was a complete freak accident and he still apologised for it. 2. To label Stokes a cheat, which is effectively what it is with that comparison, would be an insult when you have Australians caught on camera trying to rough up a ball or the 3 Pakistani players spot-fixing, not to mention the biggest cheat of all, Hanse Cronje. Also, Maradona was the greatest footballer of all time. Stokes is, er well, a fairly decent player. Quote

Administrator Stan Posted July 24, 2019 Administrator Posted July 24, 2019 Australia must be licking their lips at the sight of this performance. Having said that, so must Anderson if he sees players like Murtagh (no disrespect) snapping up wickets with ease. Quote

Lucas Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Shambles. But in some ways, perfect timing this has happened now in the warm up. Rather we get a stern warning to shape up before a ball is bowled in the Ashes. Quote
Fairy In Boots Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 It’s Ireland’s cup final and Murtagh knows this wicket, plus England treat this as a bit of a tune up. Good result for Ireland if the can get a win here though it will continue to grow the game there Quote

Azeem Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Some ladies have leaked Imam ul Haq's Whatsapp sexting different women on twitter. They are linking it to Metoo, doesn't look harassment to me, yes he was cheating but it was consensual flirting Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted July 25, 2019 Author Posted July 25, 2019 Just read about it. Still pales in comparison to what Shami did. Anyways, this is not a MetToo. Good to see quite a few women stating that. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted July 25, 2019 Administrator Posted July 25, 2019 Haram! As if she's claiming MeToo. Disrespectful to the actual victims who suffer. Quote

Azeem Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Amir also announced his retirement from Tests. I don't mind if he chooses to play little bit of ODIs that is left in him and focusing on T20 leagues as a free agent for the long term. I've said it before club vs country debate will become a thing in Cricket in near future with the influx of T20 leagues and them having more money and with teams like us or Windies were players are always in a spat with the board focusing on franchise Cricket is a good option than going through all that. But for someone who should be thankful to be back in the national team even with all the fixing and stuff he just showed no commitment for playing the longer format when he is an important part of the team. IgnisExcubitor Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 After several years of yes and no, Test Championship finally begins today. In its present state it still isn't perfect, but at least they have given this a start. I really hope this succeeds. Quote
The Artful Dodger Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Warner gone early, was hoping he'd get 100 to wind up the sanctimonious England fans. Quote
The Artful Dodger Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Edgbaston was a good choice for the first Test, England traditionally do better here than Lords and the pitch usually gives a lot. Quote
