I mean, it has been widely reported in other media too, and it has been a well known issue since 2021, it's just that Astrazeneca didn't admit to it officially until now. Some people, especially young women, getting thrombosis with thrombocytopenia resulting in serious injuries and death was the reason why numerous countries stopped using Astrazeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines early in the vaccination campaign, especially in people under 50 as the risk was considered too high, even if it is a rare side effect.
