Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted June 1, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted June 1, 2020 (edited) My next issue of the photography magazine I subscribe to is coming this week. Doing a course as part of it to pick up some new skills. The first module is apparently about cutlery I imagine it'll be some sort of flat lay exercise. Also, cutlery as a subject??? Should be pretty challenging, I reckon

Popular Post Lucas
I was quite proud of this one this morning, mainly for the sky. It has made the photo.

Was that on your phone or on a proper camera? Either way, it's great!

I don't have a proper camera, I don't think I've been into it enough to ever invest properly. But fair play to you guys that do.

Lucas
That sky looks sexy as fuck. I'm assuming you only get that with a proper camera?

I think so, also with light filtering and specific lenses but even so, to capture it and then be able to refine it looks amazing.

You can get decent results with some phone cameras, but generally yes, a dslr is your best bet. Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted June 9, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) That is one sexy sky! Ive been out for a bit this afternoon experimenting with my lens ball. I seem to be doing better with it by using my phone but I’ll get there with my camera eventually! Edited June 9, 2020 by Pyfish 1

I'm not a serious photographer but it does feel amazing when you get a shot, you know it's decent and you're proud of it.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted June 11, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) It's haunting for me looking at old b&w photos from years gone by, like below, the first photo was our two grandsons on Portobello Beach here in Leith where we live taken by our daughter in 2018 and the other old photos below of the beach, to think our two grandsons were running around on the same beach as were the other people years ago, nostalgic. 2018 1920's Edited June 11, 2020 by CaaC (John)

Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted June 12, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted June 12, 2020 I've just sold my first ever stock photo. Signed up for Shutterstock as I quite like the idea of having a purpose to taking simple photos and I've had 3 downloads. It only equates to about 55p once converted from $$ but it'll add up if I keep at it!

Subscriber nudge+ Posted June 22, 2020 Author Subscriber Share Posted June 22, 2020 Just learned that my Dad got me an early birthday present and it'll be arriving to me soon... Not an actual picture, as I haven't received it yet, obviously. Mine apparently comes with an additional 35-70mm lens, ME II winder and a right angled viewfinder. Soooo excited! 1
