Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 10, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 10, 2020 Johnsson is having a superb game. Doesn't matter who it is, the only way to beat him is with a penalty.
Inverted
Clumsy from Bjelland but that's a pitifully soft penalty. Hardly like United needed any other advantage.
...Dan
No way was that a penalty. Match ruined.
Michael
Fernandes could have scored Man Utd's 2nd goal there.

A brush on the shoulder and somehow it's deemed 'not a clear and obvious error'. Rubbish.
Inverted
There's a critical flaw in how VAR handles penalties, and United have done extremely well this season to spot it and capitalise on it. If you keep going down, you create a pressure for the ref to eventually give a pen. And so long as the dive is somewhat convincing, it can't be a "clear and obvious" error on the ref's part. Then the penalty stands.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted August 10, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 10, 2020 Another game ruined by either weak, inept or corrupt officiating. At least with COVID the 2019/20 season will get the nice big asterisk it deserves.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 10, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted August 10, 2020 I don't think Copenhagen should be discouraged here. They played against a team who has way more resources and better players (on paper) than they do and they actually did very well. MOTM for me his Johnsson. Not only did he stop anything they threw at him but he kept his team in with a chance till the very end.
...Dan
Imagine making 14 saves in a European quarter final and getting knocked out by that shit penalty call.
