He has, but do you not think that his lack of closing down crosses into the box has become an issue? It’s very easy for wide players to get a ball in when up against him, he doesn’t make much of an effort to stop it.

Not saying he can't improve and he does need to defensively but ripping it all up and moving him into midfield isn't the answer either

Maths has no business being in football. Its game, not a fucking University class.

I knew you'd get it

Fair enough. Yes, he is only 22 but he has been in the first team for three years, he should have improved defensively a lot faster than he has.

As for the game itself. Really enjoyable, I thought we might be on for another of these ridiculous scorelines (which for some reason people seem to think are good for the sport) with the early goals but it settled down into a good match. Liverpool look so slick with Thiago in there, they should have scored more than they did. Van Dijk is a major worry though, if he’s out for any length of time could they be in difficulties? Manchester City like to whinge that Laporte’s absence cost them last year but Van Dijk would be a colossal miss.

Everton weren’t really at the races for the first half,  lots of misplace passes and lack of ideas. Very good result though, still unbeaten and a sign of resilience.

Just awful officiating again.

Pickford should have gone for his horror tackle.

Robertson should have gone for his petulant and dangerous kick out.

Winner should never have been disallowed.

Just a shambles

Richarlison is one of the biggest cunts in the league btw

So is Robertson to be fair. As bad as each other

Was there any evidence of that. The replays seemed far too quick to judge that after he was fouled by Mina and they didn't show any clearer replays of it

To be fair you are probably in the 1% of nutjobs that think that goal was correctly ruled out.

Football should never be judged on millimetres, its a game ffs. Anyway, I dont really need to go into it all again because anyone with a brain the size of an ants knacker can see the whole VAR system from top to bottom has ruined the game.

Yeah the replays weren’t great for it but for me I think it was quite clear he knew what he was doing. Annoyed by the foul. Also the feigning injury afterwards is usually a pretty good sign ha. Not out of character either

If you cant understand how maths can prove if someone is offside there is no point in debating you. If you cant understand how a goal being disaload for being millimetres offside isnt a var problem but a rule that maybe needs to be looked at there is no point debating you. If you cant understand that the rules are the rules whether we like them or not there is no point in debating you.Overall there is no point in debating you

Thats good then.

Its was a goal and the whole VAR system should be scrapped. If we are going to start using millimetres and maths to judge decisions then the game is dead.

Mate, you don’t even know the difference between an elbow and a shoulder.

Not saying he didn't but the replays didn't show any evidence of it. The foul could have simply carried him in to Allan (I think it was)

But millimetres are judged whether a ball is over the line or not :219_fisherman_fishing_at_a_lake:

The fact that you have to bring up a wording mistake shows you have lost the argument. Even one of your own fans admitted it.

Nah, you mentioned arms and hands in other posts you made. You got the offside rule wrong, which @Cicero pointed out. You came in here saying some ludicrous shite, and have now piggybacked on to other members who have actually made decent arguments.

For what it’s worth, it’s offside by the absolute letter of the law IF it’s been judged to have been the shoulder offside. However, it’s fucking stupid and football was never meant to be judged like this. For me, VAR was originally meant to assist with massive issues of offside when it was clear and obvious. If you can’t look at a still for 5/10 seconds and can’t judge, then for me it’s too close to call and you should move on. Defenders are getting away with it, whilst attackers are effectively being punished. It’s wrong on every level and does make a mockery of the game.

However, it’s the rules and referees at fault, not the actual technology of VAR. I’ll keep saying this over and over again. Don’t get rid of VAR, get rid of the fucking stupid way in which it’s being used.
