I'm not knocking his style of football by any means but he feels a bit Wenger like in his approach That is a typical Dutch way, they refuse to change even though its not going well, they will not change anything as they believe it is the best system. In a way you can have tactics but sometimes you just need the right players for a particular system to make it work well, like at Arsenal in the early 00s it was perfect system with the players, now the players don't all fit the style and Wenger has been forced to change.
Dickie Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 @Tsubasa can you explain this? Because from what I'm getting this seems like a very lateral movement if not backwards moving...

Is a going forward movement, Bosz is a modern coach and a coach that wants to play football the correct way.
SirBalon Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Brilliant appointment for Dortmund. I wanted him for Arsenal but the squatter won't go... But then again I'm a Cruyffista.

When you imply he'd refuse to change even if it weren't going well, what do you mean? Will he always play the same formation or just always possession football?

Just like Klopp who played 4-2-3-1 every match, until 2014 when we had 12 injured players and he was forced to switch to 4-1-4-1. But we had played a high pressing counter attacking football with both formations.

Honey Honey Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I remember Peter Bosz from Championship Manager 1997/98, he was an easy buy from JEF United
