Saturday July 31

Dundee v St Mirren

Heart of Midlothian v Celtic (Sky Sports, 8.00pm)

Rangers v Livingston (Sky Sports, 1.30pm)

Ross County v St Johnstone

Sunday August 1

Aberdeen v Dundee United

Still some uncertainty over the numbers allowed at each game / stadium. But will be the first league game in well over a year with spectators for most.

Wondering how crowds are going to affect us this season.

I'm pretty positive one of the reasons we done well is because all of the idiots weren't there to boo the millisecond anything went wrong.

Now that Gerrard has won his first title, you'd expect the fans to be more forgiving than before. I'd expect the crowds at Celtic to be pretty hostile towards their own players this season, with Postecoglou taking the brunt of the frustration they were unable to direct at Lennon last year.

Also, would be a huge difference with crowds if they make the Champions League group stages. Sunday afternoon crowds just aren't up for a run of the mill game as Saturdays, and I can imagine that can lead to the loudest voices being the ones being frustrated.

But overall. I expect atmosphere at most grounds to be very good for the first couple of months of the season. And then die back down in October/November when the routine of going to football is well and truly back...

Only took 8 minutes for Rangers to continue their title defence.

Hagi scoring. 1-0.

Rangers game finished 3-0.

Rather slow game after the goal. Roofe coming on helped us get back into our groove with his movement.

Newly promoted Hearts beating Celtic after less than 10 minutes.

Horrific defending all round.

I gathered that, our son is a jambo man and he is watching it in the back room with his son and yelled out "YEEEESSSSS" 😄

Desperate times for Celtic when their new centre back, Starfelt, has trained once and is thrown straight in. Out-muscled twice in a few seconds. Not the greatest start to his Celtic career.

Can't say I was expected Ralston to be dribbling past defenders and scoring an excellent goal. Has really quietened the crowd down now.

Rangers have now lost the same amount of league games as Celtic this season

Battering Dundee at home doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of the title race but I think most fans are becoming quite aware that Postecoglou is a capable manager  - it is clear how he is trying to get the team playing, and even the biggest sceptics can't deny the improvement in Christie and Ralston in such a short space of time.

If the team falls short this season, it will be for much bigger reasons than the manager. As an individual, I think he has earned time to be judged properly.

Some big games this weekend.

Dundee United, who after the first game against Aberdeen, have been pretty good in their start to the season, against Hearts, who have had a good start to the season themselves.

And then some midtable game on Sunday lunchtime...

Surprised at how erratic the passing out from the back is, obviously it's the first Old Firm game in front of a packed out crowd in a while. But both teams have players capable of doing it a lot smoother.

Happiest for big McCrorie.

1st and 2nd choice goalkeeper unavailable because of Corona and he steps up.
