The show was great but the soundtrack is what put it over the top for me.

They got Yoko Kanno doing the soundtrack for the live action too!

I remember going through my anime phase and wondering 1) why isn't there more stuff as good as Bebop, and 2) why aren't there more than 10 episodes?

Far and away the best series I ever found.

There are actually 26 episodes... :) All available on Netflix now, too. I've been rewatching them recently.

As for similar stuff to Cowboy Bebop, I've been recommended Samurai Champloo... Yet to watch it though.

I'm currently watching To Your Eternity, which is not similar to Cowboy Bebop one bit, but I love it.

Hmm, why did I think there was only 1 season?  It's been years since I watched it so I'm not up to date.

Actually, I did watch a few episodes of Samurai Champloo and I really liked it but the show was hard to find here in the US.  I had just gotten into it when it's run on CN's Adult Swim ended.

There is only one season, but it has 26 episodes. It seems some of the episodes were skipped altogether in the US due to heavy violence, in wake of the September 11 attacks. Apparently quite a few were straightout banned in Japan too on the show's first run. Either way, worth a rewatch! AnimeBee is a good site:)

That must've been what I was thinking of then.  I know I didn't watch 26 episodes but I also knew there was only 1 season.

I think I read somewhere that each episode title was named after or influenced by a song title, i.e., Honky Tonk Women, Toys in the Attic, My Funny Valentine.

It is going to be fucking awful and stop reminding me this exists. What audience are they targeting with this piece of shit? Fans of the anime want anime which ended 25 years ago, not live action that looks cheap.

Yeah, you have to think that the odds of this being good are slim.

I've been going back and watching all the episodes in advance. Honestly, I don't care if the live action flops. I'm going to love it regardless, kinda like The Witcher series.

Thought we had covered this in another thread already??? Office work or working from home is not a 'proper job' It's relaxing, low stress, coffee and breaks when they want, move a few post-It's around on the desk each day and then once year make a quick trip to the stationary cupboard to get a new Bic pen because all that doodling they do with it has made it run out.... It's so easy they can even do it in their pyjamas.. B|

You must be a pen tapper and not a doodler then...
