Really looking forward to reading it. I’ve been really curious to read Graeber’s “Bullshit Jobs”. He wrote an introduction for the edition of Kropotkin’s “Mutual Aid” I have, which was really interesting, and I’ve been meaning to read more of him since.

I haven't read Bullshit Jobs either, just some essays and Debt: The First 5000 Years. It's refreshing to read unconventional points of view when they are presented well! "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" by Richard P. Feynman "Cash" by Johnny Cash "Never Have Your Dog Stuffed" by Alan Alda "Failure Is Not An Option" by Gene Kranz "Carrying The Fire" by Mike Collins Those are the first that come to mind, but I've probably forgotten some others

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted November 12, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted November 12, 2021 Next on the agenda is the new Lee Childs - Jack Reacher book, just finishing off a re-read of D-Day. Reacher isn’t one to back down from a fight. And when a shadowy crew raises the stakes, he won’t hesitate to teach them a lesson: When you pick a fight with Reacher, you’re better off dead.

Subscriber nudge+ Posted November 28, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted November 28, 2021 Read this one last night from cover to cover in one sitting: Absolutely loved it. Both funny and sad coming-of-age story of a kid growing up on a reservation. Geared towards teenagers and young adults, obviously, but it's a good read nonetheless. Subscriber nudge+ Posted December 18, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted December 18, 2021 Starting this tonight. Has been recommended to me as one the most innovative and smartest sci-fi novels in recent times.
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted December 22, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted December 22, 2021 Another Lee Child - Jack Reacher book just arrived from Amazon towards my collection, read this a few years back but worth another read over Xmas. Four people in a car, hoping to make Chicago by morning. One man driving, eyes on the road. Another man next to him, telling stories that don’t add up. A woman in the back, silent and worried. And next to her, a huge man with a broken nose, hitching a ride east to Virginia...

Waylander
Read a lot of Jack Reacher, bought one once for the flight to NZ to see family and lent it to my father who then went and bought the entire series. I have just got the fourth and last Book of Babel https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fall-Babel-Books/dp/0316518190 Reminds me of the LOTR and though fantasy set in relatively modern times.
