Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted February 9, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted February 9, 2022 I can’t tell if he’s being sarcastic or not after people are going after The Rock now after his defence of Joe Rogan. I really hope it’s sarcasm. Either way, the Rocks got a lot of heat right now and there’s a lot more with people trying to cancel him. I really wish more people would start standing up to this soft arse pathetic everything you say offends me culture.

Spike
Get the fuck off Twitter. The only reason I see this sort of shit is because other people I know show me. I just went through a whole thing with @nudge about believing bullshit because I wanted to believe it, and I looked like an arsehole because of it. Twitter is possibly the worst thing that has happened to humanity in terms of disseminating information. I hate it so much, just like that Savage Garden song, I hate it, truly, madly, deeply. I love Twitter, but only because I use it to follow certain people in certain fields of research + some specific topics I enjoy. Outside of that, I absolutely agree that it's a cesspit of misinformation, uninformed opinions, and negativity. Yuck.

Moderator Tommy Posted February 9, 2022 Moderator Share Posted February 9, 2022 I rarely use twitter. Started using a bit a bit more in the past few weeks. It's all fun and games if you read stuff of people you follow, until you check out the trending stuff.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted February 9, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted February 9, 2022 Joe Rogan isn't worth losing any sleep over. He says his opinions on his podcast, then other people say their opinions about him and he gets upset about it. Spotify have apparently removed episodes of his podcast but not the whole thing. That's my latest understanding of it. You can call this oversensitivity or whatever but these companies don't make business decisions based on that. When a big company "cancels" or boycotts or withdraws their sponsorship from a famous person who's got in trouble, it isn't a moral stance, it's because they've made a calculation that there are more people who might take their business elsewhere to make a point than there are people who will stop giving them money for cancelling, boycotting or withdrawing their sponsorship from said famous person. Without commenting on who's right or wrong in those circumstances, that's just simple economics. Companies wouldn't do this with such regularity if it cost them more money than they gained from having a more positive "image". It's all a storm in a teacup though. The proportion of the population that gets offended enough to boycott Spotify over Joe Rogan or The Rock or whatever is absolutely tiny. But the proportion of the population that are willing to end their Spotify subscriptions in protest because they "cancel" Joe Rogan is obviously smaller, otherwise the "easily offended" minority wouldn't win so often. Then there's all of us in the middle, confused about how mental everyone is going over whether insanely rich people losing a fraction of their income because they said or did something stupid. A bit of perspective is needed in this debate. I personally find it interesting because I'm weird enough to enjoy debating what's right and wrong and moral grey areas, but I can't say I'm going to burst a blood vessel or lose sleep over whether or not The Rock gets "cancelled" or something. What I do think is a shame is that there is a genuine debate to be had about ordinary people losing their livelihoods over a tweet they made when they were 15 years old that they haven't thought to delete and someone has just dug out. That for me is a genuine problem that falls into this "cancel culture" debate. However, that's rarely what we talk about. The agenda gets set by multi-millionaires like Jeremy Kyle and Piers Morgan getting "cancelled" because they took their shock-jock persona too far on television and crossed a line. I'm sorry but for these people, who have made millions and millions from a career adopting a slightly unpleasant persona, which has the inevitable cost of eventually coming back to bite them when they take it too far, go back to your mansion and enjoy your retirement. Their problems aren't real problems but they end up being the only ones we hear about. Sadly we all get sucked into it too. As for this 7 second clip of The Rock. I really just couldn't care less. I watch it and my reaction is nothing. Presumably people are getting offended because he compared himself to a transvestite. Unless the offended person who tweeted this is an actual transvestite who has a legitimate reason to be offended (unlikely but an important disclaimer), then I think people who watch a clip like this and manage to get angry about it have something wrong with them and should seek help. Mute/block/ignore and move on. Just because they're wasting their energy getting angry at nothing, you need not waste yours getting angry at them getting angry over nothing. Seems fair to me I think The Rock backed up Rogan after he apologised for his previous use of the "N word". Saying he realises that its not a word he can say. It's obviously a touchy topic, but he apologised and there was clearly never any malice involved in his use of the word.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted February 9, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted February 9, 2022 I still really like Twitter by the way. It's underrated as a source of information and insight. You just have to follow (and avoid) the right people. I don't get too much guff on my feed anymore, it does take a long time to get it relatively clean though and I have had to develop a sort of in-built filter in my brain where I can ignore the stupid shit that still gets through before I fully process it. I heard he said it alot or something. Cancel culture is a hard one for me. I love a bit of offensive comedy myself. But then I think about people who are sensitive and why they are and understand why they maybe aren't happy about certain things being said. Danny
One person can say a comedian shouldn’t do a joke/their job and an article will get made about cancel culture. People have always taken offence and will always do it, social media just enhances that. I’d say it’s created more of an outrage culture than cancel culture but half the stuff people get annoyed about on Twitter rarely ever makes it into everyday life

Devil-Dick Willie
Here's the deal. Your body ( such as it is given your bone structure, and genetic disposition towards different muscle fiber types) is a result of 3 inputs, 4 if you're enhanced. 1. Nutrition 2. training level 3. Hormone levels 4th for Enhanced boys is exogenous hormone levels To reach a peak physique, you need to have trained efficiently and eaten well for about 10 years. Once this has been achieved, your physique can only get worse, or fluctuate by a level of about 5% up and down as your habits change slightly. There is a BIG caveat however. You start to lose 10% of your natural test, every year, from some point in your mid 30s. It is IMPOSSIBLE to surpass your younger self as a natural, unless you were untrained in your early years, and thus are passing a lower bar. You don't keep growing forever. You grow for 10 years (as long as you're under 35) and then you get smaller and smaller over time. Besides that, just anecdotally. 1. he has thin veiny, glossy skin. This is a result of trenbolone. It's clear as day. 2. Look at any TESTED natty physique. The guys at natural body building shows. They are all 150-170 pounds and a quarter of the rocks size. This is igor, a natural bodybuilder I know to be 100% natty with above average (but not top 99%) genetics. That's what a peak natural looks like. Devil-Dick Willie
Ps. That second photo is stage ready. Tanned, dehydrated, starving, 6% body fat. The rock walks around daily looking 10x more vascular hahaha PPS. @SpikeI am not a nutritionist, I did it as a subject as part of exercise science, which I have switched from to economics and finance. However, I am a cert 3 and 4 fitness trainer, spending 5 semesters at university to gain those (rather than 100 hours online lol) and had a distinction average in exsci before I switched.
