Southampton should be relegated instead of either Burnley or Everton based off this 45 minutes. Fucking hell.

If you're in trouble the last day. Get Kevin Campbell on loan.

Very easy for Burnley. Southampton should have scored two from a corner from Romeu's headers.

Burnley's 1st was pretty decent.

Thought Collins climbed on the defender to get his header in.

That's more like it Burnley. Romeu for them had 2 free headers that he should of buried ⚰ but we've played well. Been impressed with us first half we've actually got the ball and looked to pass it on the deck and showed good movement.

Forster the Southampton keeper made some decent saves

Keep up the good work second half boys

Michael Jackson claret and blue army 👏.

We are the Burnley Boys!

We would still be 7 points clear if we'd have seen out what should have been a win here a couple of weeks back so we only have ourselves to blame for still being under this pressure.

Still, we should never have been engaging in relegation six pointers with Burnley in March. Not to make this thread too much about Everton but this entire mess has stemmed from Moshiri overruling everyone else at board level including the Director of Football he employed to make footballing decisions to make an absolutely ridiculous managerial appointment at the start of the season. Now a team that hasn't finished below 12th since 2004 faces the real threat of being relegated and a possible existential threat to the entire football club.

This case study should be the first thing any Director of Football or Manager should hold up to a rogue chairman or owner trying to make footballing decisions for the next 20 years.

A lot of bad signings over the last four years is the big reason.   I think Benitez got a raw deal,  but Moshiri possibly should have known that a former Liverpool manager was never going to stick with the "faithful".

Not totally inconceivable Burnley get a result vs Wolves on Sunday, shortly before all the pressure goes back on to Everton in their derby game...

I'm so tired of correcting this. The Liverpool connection doesn't even get close to the top five reasons. But I've written enough essays on Rafael Benitez before, during and after his time at the club detailing exactly why his appointment was an absolute clanger by our owner.

But what will be, will be. If we end up in the Championship then Farhad Moshiri has to shoulder the lion's share of the blame but he's obviously not accountable to anyone because the football club is essentially his toy, just like all football clubs pretty much are toys to someone somewhere nowadays. Just unlucky for us that the one who picked us up off the shelf is off his absolute fucking head. But when things are so far out of the control of the fans, you just have to try and tell yourself it's only football even if the whims of a lunatic like Moshiri inflict upon your club something unthinkable like relegation, administration, whatever. We wouldn't be the first and we won't be the last.

Tongue in cheek mate. Not like Southampton would have scored anyway.

Romeu should of buried 2 chances for them. They looked a lot better second half. Think this could go to the last weakened before we see who finally drops.

Gotta be honest some of our players looked a lot happier last night makes you wonder how many was pissed off with playing under dyche.

I love dyche too proper legend for what he done at Burnley but Mcneil who's been poor was miles happier

There was a Burnley fan on a Liverpool podcast that I've just been listening to and she mentioned about rumours of Dyche falling out with McNeil and Cornet
