Leclerc also lost his father a few months later, and then with just 2-3 days to grieve, he flow to his F2 (GP2 back then) race in Azerbaijan and won it. But yes, the story is tragic etc. but Leclerc is a very likable and humble character anyway. Danny Ric is awesome, and of course he was perfect for Netflix. He's just entertaining.

Anyway, one last word to Jules. This tribute is nice and touching

Yes, they touched on this story as well.

I do get the feeling from watching Netflix that Ferrari is like the Real Madrid/Barcelona of F1. The most legendary, iconic team out there.

Mercedes, seems to be a current winner, but historically not AS relevant, so maybe like a Chelsea or Manchester City?

That doesn't sound too wrong. But Mercedes has a huge racing history as well. but obviously Ferrari is the most prestigious, emotional and passionate team of F1 history.

I was on vacation on Malta when that accident happened. I didn't see it live, but my dad called me and told me that something horrible has happened, but he wasn't sure what exactly because the information leaked through slowly.

I remember next race they prepared his car for the race as if nothing happened and as if he'd climb in any second. And then they just had it sitting in the garage as a tribute.

I remember this. Very much emotional :(

Just finished the Netflix series. Just in time for practice tonight for China.

Absolutely brilliant that was. Definitely some drivers I like, and if I were to fully choose my driver based on this show, it would like be either Niko or Ricarrdo.

Max is just a punk POS in the show. Nothing likable about him at all.

Nico Hülkenberg? He's brilliant!

Well, Max doesn't have much of a special personality, IMO. He seemed likable at Red Bull at times when Ricciardo was his teammate, because Ric just carried Max with him during every media thing they had together. But he's an amazing driver, which really is the only thing that counts in numbers at the end.

So here in the States, we have Indy Car racing, which is car racing similar to F1.

Is this related at all to F1, or just our bastardized version of it?

It's a simplified version so Americans can understand it

But no, there's no relation at all except that there have been drivers switching back and forth between the two series.

IndyCar is class though.

Why? Why double in any country? Just go somewhere new. A race in Egypt or a Scandinavian country would be great to see.

Simple answer - money...

No circuits in Scandinavia capable of hosting an F1 race and I don't think there's enough interest from the public/governments/private companies to fund such an event. It's all about rally/rallycross there!

No circuit in Egypt either as much as I'm aware.
