The first of three games in a week for me.

The 15min journey to St Marys Saturday lunchtime followed by 5 days in Leeds taking in the QPR and Bristol City home games next week.

On paper, it doesn't appear possible to go three games without a win given our form and theirs, but just hold my beer...

Gulp.

I tell you now, Saints having lost four in a row, taking on us, four successive clean sheets, we just now how this ends.

Already primed myself for it.

Speaking entirely selfishly a Southampton win here is probably the best result of our season outside of our own games. Hurts in my opinion our biggest two long-term challengers in that it drops Leeds points and it means Southampton will persist with that clown Martin. In truth though Ipswich and Sunderland probably have to be considered bigger threats than Saints now.

Blackburn away. Sunday 12pm. Think there's a decent chance I miss my 7am minibus given I'm back late from a wedding Saturday.

Blackburn are statistically the most open and entertaining team in not just this league but the EFL. There are so many chances at both ends in their games and they beat us pretty convincingly back in February in the cup - though in reality we can't read too much into that game, we've changed quite drastically since then.

We're still yet to let in 2 in a league game under Maresca. This will be the biggest test to that yet.

I think we will beat them though. I think we hit 3 or so ourselves.

My calculations bring me to a 1-3 victory.

Fair play, you've called that and then some so far.

Teams around us dropped points. Ipswich draw and Preston get absolutely hammered at home. Win tomorrow and we're already 4 points ahead of 3rd, and 11 ahead of Leeds and Southampton.

Would take a 1-0 but very wary that Blackburn score a shit load.

You'll be pleased to hear they're without Hedges, Leonard and Gallagher.

That is handy. Think they still have some threat though - Travis, Dolan and especially Szmodics.

Swansea City earned a big win away to Millwall, as they won 3-0. It was also good to see the Ukrainian youngster Mykola Kukharevych score his first goal for Swansea City since joining the club this summer. Kukharevych scored Swansea City's 3rd goal as he met a cross with a powerful header.

Millwall 0-3 Swansea City

It was inevitable.

We didn't deserve anything yesterday. Southampton weren't fantastic but they were better in areas than we were. We were far too sloppy.

I hooe that acts as a solid wake up call for us ahead of two home games.
