Harry Kane Needs 4 More Goals For Calendar Year Premier League Record

Recommended Posts

Statistics began in 1992. Harry Kane needs 4 goals from Tottenham's next 4 games to break the record for Premier League goals in a calendar year.

  1. Alan Shearer (Blackburn) 36 - 1995
  2. Robin van Persie (Arsenal) 35 - 2011
  3. Thierry Henry (Arsenal) 34 - 2004
  4. Harry Kane (Tottenham) 33 - 2017
  5. Alan Shearer (Blackburn) 30 - 1994
  6. Les Ferdinand (Newcastle) 30 - 1995
  7. Ruud van Nistlerooy (Manchester United) 30 - 2003

Can he do it? The four games are Brighton (h), Man City (a), Burnley (a), Southampton (h)

I’d say yes looking at those fixtures. Great achievement.

To be honest nothing special about him, only a four season wonder really.

To be honest, if Spurs finish below 2nd this season then he doesn’t really improve them

I think he'll get 2 tonight, 1 against Man City and then a last minute goal against Southampton.

Dunno, Burnley have been pretty good defensively. I’d say 2/3 against Southampton is more likely. Especially as VVD’s heart is already at Anfield

Also saw he's one behind Messi for calendar goals this year in all top leagues and joint with Lewandowski and Ronaldo. Messi on 54. Kane and the other 2 on 53

Obviously Kane is the only one left to play this year as well. No doubt his team will try and get him a goal or 2 against Southampton.
