Surprised by this as I rated him really highly, I actually thought that he might have even ''made it'' at Barcelona.

He’s better than Betis, although I wonder perhaps how much the bus attack affected him

That's true actually, some players (understandably) would never come back the same after something like that, let alone in a foreign country away from home.

That would be some serious PTSD being involved in something like that

Lost his place after Tuchel departed who had him as a main part of the team.  Who knows what happened but going back to Spain is good for him and with a top coach like Quique Setién he’ll flourish no doubt.

I have no idea why Dortmund let him go. He was easily the most complete central defender they had.

I read on marca he was in Sevilla earlier, but I didn't actually click on and read the article, so I presumed he was going to Sevilla rather than Betis, with all due respects to them.

They do have potential though to be a good side fighting for European place in the near future.

20 mil is quite a big fee for Betis these days as well. There was a period where they were spent silly money on players like Denilson, but that was a good while ago now. Late 90s.

Bartra and Tello will do well there, well Tello already is.

PTSD is surely a little overboard?

When a bomb went off next to you and and you almost died? Overboard? How?

The bomb was filled with metal pieces, and some of them just narrowly missed his head. And yea, it was an explosion... quite a big one.

I thought it was much smaller than that

Some metal pieces even hit houses that were quite far away:

I think PTSD is definitely warranted in that case. Especially if you have a little daughter at home, waiting for you.

He was injured during the attack too, broken arm or something similar, right?

Yeah, glass from the window went into his arm.
