14 Goals in 16 games for the 20 year old linked with Inter Milan, with the problems around picking Dybala and Icardi, could Martinez be a dark horse to snatch a spot in Sampaoli's World Cup squad?

No disrespect to you mate at all, but you're a little tardy to the party on this topic xD

If he proves something in the next friendly, then yes.

Proper piss take if he doesn't even make a cameo in the friendlies.

I'd start him and Messi against Spain tomorrow.

He needs to be geled in. Look what Brazil did with Gabriel Jesus. He was already a name in Brazil, so they took a gamble and now he's doing well at City due to his performances for the national team.

He's even from Avellanada, just on the other side from Aguero's home.

He's class, probably the most promising young forward after Mbappe. And that twatic mong of an Everton fan (not Cannabis :P) said that Calvert guy was better a few weeks back, the laughs.

You're talking about @HK85 and he's right.

Tore it up for my FC Barcelona FIFA team (think he was good for @The Rebel CRS too).

Yeah he was class for my Blackburn team but as far as Argentines were concerned, Ezequiel Barco was the main man on the wing. Both were purchased when in league one and I grew them into stars, although Martinez became more of a rotational player once I brought in Mbappe.

I'd say DCL is better than Higuain as well tbh.

Yeah. Bet Sampaoli wishes Calvert-Lewin and Niasse were Argentine. If we're being honest there's about 20 other strikers in the Premier League who have scored enough (6 or 7) goals to show their class and would walk into the Argentina side.
