Monaco to Reimburse Fans Following PSG Defeat

Recommended Posts

To be fair that was some fucking hiding.

Monaco are to reimburse fans who made the trip to watch their side lose 7-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital on Sunday.

Leonardo Jardim's side surrendered the Ligue 1 title to PSG with the defeat at the Parc des Princes.

After the match, a post on Monaco's official Twitter account confirmed that they planned to compensate the supporters who had made the journey to Paris from the south of France, which can take nearly seven hours by rail.

I saw the score line this morning, What the actual fuck. Even the second best team in France are getting hammered like relegation cannon fodder. Top players would be mad to go PSG in the summer, if they do it's clearly only for the money like Neymar.

With the exception of PSG fans and the mentally unstable (or both) no one wants PSG in Ligue 1. They’ve killed it. It’s great having World class players but when they’re all playing for one team, funded by a State and flagrantly couldn’t give a fuck about the consequences ... go away. I will be shocked if PSG aren’t defunct in the next 20 years.

Are Monaco fans local? Because aren't most people living in Monaco very fucking rich? Doesn't seem like the crowd would be your typical football crowd.

Monaco is its own country. It can’t declare UEFA status because they’ll get hoofed out of Ligue 1

The club shouldn't be doing that, it's part and parcel of supporting a Football Club.

It doesn’t have many fans who travel let alone attend home games. They can’t afford to lose fans. And yes they are that fickle, Monegasques

Probably most of their fans at the match live in Paris and just maintain an address in Monaco for tax reasons... 😎

Kroenke would be begging on the streets if Arsenal tried to reimburse every time they lost away badly...

But thats a good gesture towards the fans...

Fans were refunded when we lost 8.2 at utd. It is quite common when a team looses by 6 or more

Yeah they do actually have an international team but they aren't FIFA registered but they do play games sometimes. Just not official games
