Interesting topic to bring up then, what do you all do for work? I guess I can start.

Im a heavy duty partsman; I work in a truck shop supplying parts for the jobs, sourcing/looking up and billing for customers. Anything basically 5ton + we work on but only drivetrain, so drivelines, transmissions, diffs, clutches and surrounding areas basically.

xD Nah thankfully nothing like that...  we're working solely with healthcare industry and professionals :)

It's not the most exciting of jobs I've done in my life so far but it has a lot of perks...especially in terms of flexibility which is a big one for me.

In Germany building constructors, who want to get public contracts have to depose 30% of the order volume as a warranty beforehand, in case the work will not be finished in time, not finished as ordered, or the constructor goes bust.Money many building constructors either don't have or don't want to be firmly invested. The company I work with lends those enterprises said money for a fee. In Germany these kind of business is called Avalkredit, google translated it to guarantee facility.

Sounds interesting enough anyways, I assume you can work from home and make your own hours sort of deal then.

Thats pretty interesting, tbh I dont believe there is anything like that in place here but I also dont have a wealth of knowledge of our construction industry, could be different between private and public though too. I like the idea of holding them accountable for a project regardless.

Yes, it's a 100% remote job. I am just given deadlines for the completion of specific projects but the rest of the time managing is entirely up to me... Love the freedom of that and hope I'll never have to set foot into an office ever again haha. But in general I dislike desk jobs.

How is that possible that you've never been there before?

Why? Why is it so important to go to Aachen?

PS: I've never been to Berlin

Surprised you missed the best bit in Aachen - liverbird and I visited there for the 04 friendly and opposite the ground is a Restaurant with not only superb choices of International Buffet food, but a range of bottles to make even your eyes water - should have tried it! And the roads were all in perfect order!!!

I've never visited, but I've heard great things about Aachen. Is the city as great as I've heard?

Ha - the truth hurts :)

It's not a bad drink as sometimes a light, crisp, easy drink it was the occasion calls for. But it's similar to some generic American beers in ABV and taste profile, just with a different strand of yeast.

Everyone knows that that's why nobody outside Köln drinks it
