The Artful Dodger Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Pure greed will prevail soon. Maybe they should get themselves promoted and earn some more money rather than relying on their armchair fans from halcyon days.
Smiley Culture Posted November 15, 2018 Author Posted November 15, 2018 It’s a loose threat, let’s be honest. They won’t go swanning off on their own, it’s not in their best interests to do so. If the TV money is increasing, Clubs should get more money if their games are being shown on television.

Honey Honey Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Breakaway to a league with no promotion please

It's not humiliating to get relegated if people except it. Humiliation in football is always and only underachievement. Regardless of what level that may be at.
Honey Honey Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 @Cannabis Man Utd fans might feel embarassed if they finished 5th but you would have a hard on if Everton did. The two outcomes are equal but the experience is not. All emotions in football are relevant to expectancy.

Which is why you now see Man City fans howl with fury when Gabriel Jesus misses a chance to put the side 5-0 up against Shakhtar. It's a staggering sight. They expect immaculate performances from perfect players because that's what Guardiola is delivering most of the time. They now act like spoilt brats of ex-council estate Euromillions winners demanding yet another Gucci shirt for their wardrobe, while forgetting that a few years ago, they were lucky to have a white polo from Primark.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted November 19, 2018 Subscriber Posted November 19, 2018 Winning the league has definitely upped our fans' expectations beyond what they really ought to be. It's made things a bit miserable.
Honey Honey Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Takes a few years to emotionally downsize I think.
Danny Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 What happens when they're all still shit and can't get promoted and then get relegated back to the small money Championship?
