Dr. Gonzo Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I’d never heard this album before, but holy fuck it’s brilliant. It’s fantastic blues rock, and the drumming is brilliant. Oh and Jeff Beck is on guitar so that’s not bad 1 Quote
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 4, 2019 Subscriber Posted July 4, 2019 Gave the new album a listen and think its a much mellower Gilbert but the band accompaniment is superb. 1 Quote
Dr. Gonzo Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 I've just listened to 4 songs of that band @Inverted posted in the "Making Music" thread - Khruangbin. I like them, relaxing stuff. 1 Quote
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 14, 2019 Subscriber Posted July 14, 2019 Great NPR Tiny Desk set and that bassist grooving with the drummer adds a nice element to the funkiness. Thanks @Inverted for the intro to this band in the other thread. 2 Quote

Thanks @Inverted for the intro to this band in the other thread. Can't get enough of them either. Top notch basslines and unreal restraint from the drums and guitar. You can tell they're real technicians, but their focus is entirely on the music. 2 Quote
Dr. Gonzo Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Apparently this band's first album was produced by Deep Purple's Ian Gillian, so you might be into that @CaaC (John) 2 Quote
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 18, 2019 Subscriber Posted July 18, 2019 I just stumbled on this and it seems like the two of them got together, had a few drinks and decided to do this. Total fun on display. 1 Quote
