  1. In general, the family of Coronaviruses mutate/evolve slower than influenza. That said SARS-CoV-2 is new, we don't fully know it and we can only assume it is going to behave following that pattern. It seems to be somewhat better at propagating than common influenza (2x?), which is no slouch in that regard. There is no immunity. Vaccines and antivirals do not work with SARS-CoV-2 (if laboratories had kept onto researching on the 2003 SARS virus and produced a vaccine the latter MAY have worked to some extent, but as it was the epidemic was contained investigation stopped, sad). So we've got to wait for a vaccine for quite a bit of time. The death rate is reportedly between 4 and 50 times higher, but we need to take this with a grain of salt as the amount of unreported cases (many of them asymptomatic) may be huge (thus considerably lowering the death rate, possibly one order of magnitude). Hopefully after one, two or three infections, immunity can be acquired passively, and although becoming endemic, the virus may turn to only affect children in a very mild way until they acquire immunity to the virus (and hopefully to similar viruses from the same family).

  2. I imagine most countries it’s showed up in are under reporting tbh. Iran’s got big issues with an incompetent government & has a hard time getting access to testing kits. The US has competence issues with the head of state directly contradicting the CDC and WHO. And I don’t know enough about South Korea to comment, but I’d suspect that the long incubation period means there’s a lot of people infected that don’t know they should be tested. And I assume that’s probably the case everywhere, which means the actual number of cases everywhere is likely higher than the reported number of cases everywhere.

  3. Christopher Lloyd, who played Emmett “Doc” Brown in the film, had an Instagram reunion with protege Michael J. Fox, who played Marty McFly, who manned a time-traveling DeLorean automobile to visit 1955. The two met up at a charity poker tournament to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation, whose research hopes to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease, which Fox has endured for years.

  4. Barcelona's fine. There has been 32 cases of coronavirus in Catalunya but all are imported from Italy apparently. Madrid on the other hand is now in double figures. 360 in Spain and like half are in madrid. Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand for them! As I said, everything is as normal here, nobody panicking. It's been an amazing trip so far and this hasn't affected it up to now, fingers crossed it stays that way. The weed is so fucking good. I'm.just in the club I'm a member of now having a fatty after walking like 10 miles today exploring, most of it up hills. @Dr. Gonzo Gona go towards the beach after this. It's a bit windy but like 17 degrees. Been perfect weather to go exploring.

  7. Watch his Memories of Murder and Mother, if you haven't already. Memories of Murder is by far the director's best flick, and one of the best serial killer movies out there. The Host is another good flick from the director, though a bit weird at times. I liked Parasite, as well. The observation on social classes was nicely done.
