I never got along with this one for some reason... not camp enough for me perhaps..
I mean let's be honest, if I went round saying to the wife " make it so number one" every time she asked if I wanted a coffee I am pretty sure she would leave me..
Looks like a reboot for the original series.. looking at the trailer they have tried to go for the old style feel it used to have but not convinced by the Captain who seems to be in there for light entertainment purposes and that might wear a bit thin after 3 episodes.. We shall see
That looks gorgeous, going to give the wife a break from cooking today so I am going to have a slapdash John meal, once a month treat now that I am losing weight of pork chops, chips, beans and eggs (boiled for 3 minutes, not fried).
Today for lunch I made "Chicken ground steak".
It's chicken meat cut really small, marinated over night in homemade mayonaise, herbs, onion and garlic. Then mixed with flour and eggs so you can form sort of a steak out of it. Apparently they eat that in the Ukraine, but with pork, beef or fish instead.
I never really liked the very first Star Trek with Kirk, Spock & co, I enjoyed the Next Generation series and I was gutted when they finished the series and even the main actors Patrick Stewart (Picard) & Brent Spinner (Data) were puzzled why it never continued.
Saying all that I did enjoy all the Star Trek movies even with Kirk & Spock.
I tried to watch this documentary last night but to be honest it's really fucking boring. I also don't find him a very likeable person from the old footage of before he was exposed so I don't get why he was such a national treasure. I understand the philanthropy and stuff but he just seems like a weird guy in a way that would already have made me uncomfortable if I didn't know what was going on behind the scenes. The amount of footage there is of him hanging out with the royals as well is sadly very much a red flag for me. There is a lot of rotten goings on beneath the surface of the British establishment and upper classes that Savile attached himself to, and you don't even have to dig too far to find it.
