  1. Yeah it’s just comedians/celebs talking about their favourite films lol
  2. According to the athletic and daily mail we have: Had a £13m bid rejected for Kristoffer Ajer, would be a very Brentford signing. Are in for Glen Kamara. Also interested in Harry Wilson. And then aside from that Frank Onyeka is still due to sign for us.
  3. The actor who plays Roy Kent, the hard man in the series, is a bit posh and softly spoken
  4. Ever listened to Brett Goldstein’s films to be buried with podcast? When I realised he plays Roy Kent my mind was blown
  5. Watched Black Widow, from the adverts I thought it should have been a series at best, looked so boring. The film itself was actually class, great cast, funny, interesting, shame they killed her off

With me it felt like I was breathing through a straw but with no lung capacity, a GP should be able to give you steroids if it’s bad to open your lungs up
  7. A good video from the BBC highlighting the arguments for and against the easing of restrictions, and what arguments are based in science and what ones based in politics. I feel sorry for people who have been shielding since the very beginning and still are, to essentially be told that whether you live or die is no longer a concern must be extremely shit.

If your breathing gets bad make sure you get onto the Doctors for some steroids, when I had it I genuinely couldn't breathe for about a day (covid + asthma = goodnight lungs) but didn't wanna go A&E and then spread it. Called the Doctors in the morning for steroids and they made me wait till 5pm for a call back
  9. Would have thought he'd at least wait to see out another World Cup considering it's only a year away
  10. Mad, something to do with TFL right?
  11. The Athletic reporting that were about to sign Daniel Oyegoke from you lot, any good?

Thought the advert was jokes, come to the conclusion that the Dominos in Aus and NZ is better than the UK version, even though there's are extremely basic pizza's they have the advantage of tasting like a fresh pizza rather than bread, loads of cheese and grease. Plus a pizza costs about £2.50 over there
  13. They fucked him off on the wing last season when they got a sniff of Odegaard, can see why Villa put in a bid for him
  14. Won’t be for the European market, most likely to focus on recruiting from EFL
  15. Nothing screams I understand your concerns by following it up with a rye smile and a “how about that?”
  16. Watching the doc on Amazon and Christ they've got a high opinion of Palace don't they? Comparing them to Arsenal in the 90s, Highbury/Emirates stadium compared to Selhurst etc...when there's probably more fans of Chelsea and Arsenal in South London than any specific South London team

    Work/Jobs Thread

Stupid that many work places insisted on people being in everyday in the first place, so many jobs that can be done from home a couple days a week at least.
  18. Watching Ted Lasso on Apple+TV, actually a lot better than I expected it to be and have completely binged it the last few days. It's filmed at the same stadium they filmed Bend It like Beckham at, which is where I used to play youth football

    Work/Jobs Thread

Genuinely find it mad that people have jobs that they really enjoy, which is probably why I'm going to Uni, but for me an enjoyable job is one where the day just passes and you don't hate every second of it Congrats!

    Cricket

What I mean is racism is a learned behaviour, so it would have to come from somewhere or someone. Pinning it on being young specifically rather than why he thought it was OK/where it came from doesn’t suggest he knows necessarily why it’s wrong if that makes sense. But of course you are much more susceptible to repeating ignorance when you are young because you’re less likely to understand it. Just saying solely pinning it down on being young is not enough. I say that because it’s one of the reasons UKIP and the like had a major surge because Blair’s Labour and the left at that point spent a decade calling people racist without actually challenging it, so rather than knowing why something was bad people just knew not to say it...so when Farage came around they still believed in what they thought and then they had someone who would say it without consequence

    Cricket

On one hand it seems a bit rich, I don’t know what cricket is like but footballing authorities are terrible at dealing with racism/sexism/homophobia to the point that they are just encouraging it and yet if they find something from a player when they were a kid they’ll give them a ban. On the other hand Ollie Robinson was 18 when he made that post, I read a tweet where it was essentially saying if we just say “oh he was young” were essentially telling 18 year olds who are affected by racism that it doesn’t matter, because the white kids are young they don’t have to worry about the consequences of their actions. Also his defence was that he said it because he was young, not because of his upbringing/who he surrounded himself with and why he thought it was OK, which sort of suggests he hasn’t actually learnt why it was bad....just that it is. That old adage of just learning what not to say in public. Theyve set a precedent and banning players is going to be the course of action now which...is what it is. I don’t feel sorry for Ollie Robinson because he finally his actions have received a consequence, but if they’re just banning him and nothing else I.e. seriously attempting to educate him then what is the point? On a side note it’s very telling that our current government are quick to intervene in this matter yet had no problem with an inquiry that said institutional racism doesn’t exist in this country. More hysteria is created in this country by how we punish racism and the notion of just being accused of racism than by actually trying to deal with racism itself. Similar to how people get more upset that they can’t say the N word rather than that the word is still used and still carries that meaning. In this case Ollie Robinson shouldn’t be the victim but he is being painted as one.
  22. Cheers mate, though it's happened to us plenty of times you should be safe in the knowledge we probably won't put a bid in for Armstrong
