  1. I thought I was having a heart attack once and it turned out to be a panic attack. I’ve seen a girl have a panic attack too and she was convinced she was going to die. I don’t really have any in depth advice but just keep reminding yourself that you’re not actually going to die and whatever it is you’re feeling will pass. And focus on your breathing. Long term I would say speak to a professional mate, they can help a lot
  2. You can see the exact moment where he thinks he’s winning the argument and then realises he doesn’t understand the argument
  3. Some victim blaming from North Yorkshire: https://www.google.co.nz/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-58762029.amp
  4. Just bought Fifa22...why are the players all fat?
  5. Yeah it’s pretty shocking that he was never reported, straight up negligence. Not sure if I’ve read this right but Met police issued a statement saying if you don’t feel comfortable being arrested by police to...wave a bus down?
  6. A fairly disappointing and tone deaf response. He was a Police Officer, passed all relevant training, you can brush this under the carpet by saying the Police do not view him as Police...they viewed him as Police when they employed him.
  7. Click on the thread and you'll find out. Lot of info, probably not best for people who aren't trying to analyse something at in depth levels
  8. I think that was mostly from people that don't understand a. what xg is and how it's used and b. that one full season of football is still too small a sample size to be making judgements about his teams inability to finish even though the chances are getting created regularly. I think this season they'll do a lot better than last.
  9. It's proper go back to your own country vibes. She's born and bred a British citizen, should never have been able to revoke her citizenship. Wouldn't have happened if she were white, would probably have been told to just read instead. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/sep/01/judge-orders-rightwing-extremist-to-read-classic-literature-or-face-prison
  10. Divock Origi with the assist of the season so far...

  12. Mountain out of a molehill time. Thomas Frank pre-Aston Villa spoke about Ronaldo and after calling him one of the best strikers in the world, said he's also not as good as he was and then compliments his attitude by saying "he'd probably be fuming if he heard me say that." Then Mark Goldbridge tweets that Frank is "questioning Ronaldo" and now Twitter has fallen apart over what was about a 1 minute clip from a 30 minute interview recorded 2 weeks ago Frank has had to dial back the straight talking Dane in him as West Brom and Leeds have previously shown how sensitive British people can be, apparently you can take the man out of Denmark but... Queue a Ronaldo hattrick against us when we play them....but I wouldn't change Frank for anyone, a man perfectly suited for the Premier League.

  15. The issue is that they don't know they want to be brainwashed, otherwise they'd know they've been brainwashed...I think it's far too common an issue for it to be something that's in their control. There has to be a link between being brainwashed and a specific way in how you process the world around you. Also you can take growing old into account, you grow up with a perception of the world and assume that's normal and then get upset when people challenge your perception. Not saying it's the same thing as being brainwashed, but feel like it comes from a similar place which you would think is highly emotional.
  16. Interesting read about LFC finances on the Swiss Ramble, feels like it reads off as more transfer money = more debt without selling, so LFC put larger sums of money into contracts/bonus'
  17. I feel for AMN, he’s made it clear several times he wants to play and this is the going to be the second season in a row chances are going to be slim. A good coach should be able to create a system that incorporates the clubs future talents, not sell them/bench them because they don’t fit his limited playing style. He should be looking to give AMN game time and should never have sold Willock.
  18. @Smiley Culture you'll probably know the answer to this, are Clapton locally supported or are they a hipster/gentrified club in the same way Dulwich have become?
  19. The training ground is where I used to play youth football, also filmed Bend It Like Beckham there
  20. It represents some of our personalities but not all. This forum takes up about 95% of my daily quota for arguing, I am not anywhere near as anal or argumentative in real life. Get a few beers in me and I’m running around a roundabout in the rain at Christmas swinging my shirt in the air singing Feliz Navidad. Put me on this forum at that exact time instead and I’m probably arguing capitalism vs socialism at Christmas. In fact I about 700% sure Im have ADHD and the interacting with a real person and interacting with an account online bring out two separately impulsive sides to me. If I was @Toinho and I’d decided to meet up with me based on this forum I’d definitely regret it lol Ant is very easy going and funny in person, the “stick in the mud” trait is probably him only coming on here every now and then for a discussion about something. If you were to have a break from this place, even just a few days, I’d imagine you would probably notice there are many qualities you forget about yourself that don’t have the space to exist on this website. Edit: typos galore
  21. Greenwood is a striker though isn't he, as opposed to wide forward?
  22. A very winnable group, as much as I'd like to see us play with more attacking intent I'll be happy for us to just secure the points as early as possible in whatever way Southgate assumes is the best way for the team. Plenty of time between now and the World Cup to integrate the likes of Sancho, Greenwood, Foden, Grealish, Saka etc fully into the the starting 11 to create more of a balance within what is a pretty defensive team.
  23. Aye but it’s part of a the same wider problem within football and was the most recent public example I could think of that wasn’t related to Chelsea
  24. When you see these reports arise it's no wonder there are very little black coaches in the game compared to the large numbers of black players.
