Re: Ronaldo yeah the price is ridiculous but I've just had a bit of a read into how to make coins off squad battles so I'll try that while grinding away. Squad battles is a great source of coins and packs, if you play each day you can realistically get the 15k coins and three packs for getting a Gold 1 ranking each week. I doubt I'll bother saving up in the end but I'll have a run at it.

Yeah my team is all tika taka with pace out wide, mediocre pace in midfield and pretty gash pace in central defence (Javi Martinez and Pique with Gimenez and Mascherano as back ups ). My first choice midfield is Busquets, Fabregas and Iniesta which is a lot of fun to play with even if it isn't necessarily the best suited to online. However, I'd rather play a bit differently and have a slight disadvantage then just be a boring bastard and have the same Bakayoko Eriksen De Bruyne midfield as everyone else.

Managed to afford Pique, saving up about 30k for David Silva, then the next positions I want to upgrade are both wings and only Bale and Ronaldo fit the criteria I want for now so time to save up .

Did I seriously just read people mocking Liverpool/the Premier League compared to Barcelona/La Liga because of the different fees paid for Van Dijk and Mina, when Van Dijk's transfer was funded by a humongous windfall Liverpool received from, which club was it again? BARCELONA . The point stands though I guess. You don't see much of English clubs making signings like Mina from South America and developing them. Probably partly down to British fans and coaches deciding they're "not cut out for the British game" when they haven't broken into the first team by 21.

While I commented on you lot moaning about all your players the other week in jest, Chelsea are starting to look pretty poor by their standards. Having nobody anywhere near good enough to deputise for Hazard is the biggest problem for me, Morata is out of form but will come good.

Usmanov is somehow involved and he has the sponsorship rights to the training ground. As long as he is so involved with Arsenal there's obviously a conflict of interests which prevents him from getting on board with us though it has been rumoured more than once that that door is open to him.

After 3 years that's horrible. At least with ours we know she had a good (great) life at 15 years especially after falling off a thirty foot cliff two years ago and still living a reasonably happy life for 2 more years.

An eventful few days for me. Firstly on NYE got with one of my best friends which was pretty awkward. Then yesterday we had to put my dog down at the ripe age of 15 which was awful, then today moved back out of the parents pad and in with three of my mates from school closer to work. Shattered now.

Just been playing Ultimate Team online. My side isn't exactly blessed with loads of pace so I enjoyed getting 4 wins and 1 draw against a succession of boring cunts who all have Aurier/Bellerin, Danny Rose, Bakayoko, and a front three picked from Sane/Mane/Vardy/Sterling/Lacazette. Love that other people are making teams with something a bit different. I've managed to afford Busquets at last so next I'll be saving up for Iniesta followed by Benzema which will see my team look like this at full strength: Oblak 88 Carvajal 84 Martinez 86 Gimenez 83 Alba 85 Fabregas 86 Busquets 86 Pedro 84 Iniesta 87 Carrasco 85 Benzema 86

Forgot how much of a grind getting coins is on ultimate team. Trying to save up 30k for Busquets to go in my Spanish/La Liga team, played for about 4 hours today and not got enough. At the moment I've got: GK - Oblak, Asenjo RB - Carvajal, Juanfran LB - Alba, Filipe Luis CB - Javi Martinez, Gimenez, Mascherano, Savic DM - Nzonzi, De Rossi, Fabregas, Gabi RM - Pedro, Vela LM - Carrasco, Deulofeu CAM - Franco Vazquez, Boudebouz ST - Morata, Ben Yedder Enjoyed doing something besides what everyone else does with "get every fast player from the Premier League" approach.
