  1. Haha. Well they have made some crackers especially in the Vania series so I can't see an issue there. I read somewhere that they are now outsourcing the entire Metal Gear series to an external development house to be remade.
  2. https://se7en.ws/a-new-konami-game-getsufumaden-undying-moon-is-coming-to-steam-and-switch/?lang=en Castlevania-Roguelike combo? What's not to love.
  3. Excellent series. If you've never played it before and its pretty cheap I'd go get it.
  4. https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/everything-we-know-about-netflixs-1899-from-dark-creators/ @Tommy you might like this although I'd imagine you already know.
  5. I am looking for something a bit more from Venom honestly. Its about a guy with a symbiote expanding his anger and fear so I kinda wish Sony go this route. Also, bringing Spiderman into the mix would be a good idea which I can thoroughly see Sony using. I liked the first one too with its crude jokes but they tried to get serious a bit too fast imo.
  6. For anyone who's interested.
  7. It may work out in his favor as I dont think he's completely fit yet. Having said that this is a big miss for the Dutch NT.
  8. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/newsblogs/coronavirus-india-cases-update-covid-vaccine-latest-news-may-12/liveblog/82565030.cms Considering this is what they gave me yesterday I am happy to see this kind of news.
  9. I can confirm this was true till about a week ago. We're 21 now. Stan and I just became uncles.
  10. 5 and 6 are hype REs imo. They just tried to push this narrative that Leon and Chris were super-human haha. 7 has more dark undertones and this does too. At the start it really does push the horror component quite aggressively.
  11. RE8 is chock-full of action like RE4. I played some of it over the weekend and its really quite good from an action standpoint. You spend more time running and less time gunning so far but I dont consider that a bad thing.
  12. https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7bbmz/the-fortnite-trial-is-exposing-details-about-the-biggest-iphone-hack-of-all-time Apple may have a case against Epic after those emails about the hack came out. Although to be fair to Epic how can you stop these kinds of installations? You just cant.

I think any MIDI tool is super for a person trying to get into any style of music because it helps you learn very fast. The pads on the Akai are superb imo and for the price almost unbeatable. The portability of it is its outstanding feature imo and as you said its great, just take a laptop, plug keyboard in, sit down and jam. As for the guitar to bass thing, its very true. I learned a long time ago that my phone was an invaluable tool so now when I get an idea I just turn voice recorder on, hum the tune and let it go. I have a trove of garbage on my voice recorder I probably will never get to haha but its there. Oh forgot to add, if anyone wants to drumkits DM me.

So, I was playing around today with drums after a long time and started thinking that maybe I was going about it the wrong way. Instead of writing the drum beat first and then adding bass what if I added the bass first then added the drum beats on the up-beat/down-beats to match the bass. This is kind of how we started writing that song I posted a while back. It goes a bit like this and you can use new-age tabs with a metronome to get started since we're all pretty much string instrumentalists here. Bass tab (Sample) Drum tab (sample) If you look at both the tabs they have the same down-beat and the only thing the bass is doing in certain parts is leaving gaps while the drum fills the slots (more akin to progressive rock than metal). However, with a bit of tweaking you can probably write something to play along with and then fine tune it as well. Then go into your editor of choice and use the beat maker to fill the slots (not play the drums) and quantize post that to offer velocity, etc. (cheating I know). I find that its easier to relate to something you know first then learn the rest post that. My drums are shit imo but if you spend enough time on YouTube you can learn the rudiments and couple with your instruments understanding and how drums are supposed to fit in and get it to work? All the work above was in Guitar Pro 7 while I was playing to ensure I had the time signature right for the bass first then I used my limited knowledge of drums to fill the gaps in and called my band-mate to spruce it up. I was told to stop playing drums btw lol. P.S. Now, if you want to add guitar in there you can do that on all the fillers by using the same time-sig or merging two and creating a fast-moving melody line.
  17. Boss: We have no mops in the store Employee: No problem I'll just get the gator I have in my trunk give me a second
  18. That beaver statue in the back is amazed as well look at the size of its eyes lol.
  19. It's a long watch granted but if you've ever played the originals or the Seasons on Xbox this is a good documentary with lots of micro points that show what a good dev house can do for a game when its backed by a company that listens.
  20. It really is very good. Insomniac games just built on the hit they had with its predecessor.

All this DAW and drums discussion and I got excluded Jokes aside, drums with a MIDI keyboard and more importantly a pad will make any drum kit sound good. I have the drum kits from - https://www.thelooploft.com/collections/maschine-drum-kits and they are superb. No jokes, just superb. There is a drum kit for large scapes in there and phew its amazing. I'll make a sample and send it today as I have been told by my boss I should take the day off haha. I also believe they can be programmed into any DAW but I haven't really tried them with Logic Pro yet. The samples are all WAV files that can be used with velocity.
  22. I was curious if my machine could even handle it and while I think the final product might get a bit strained I think I'll be just fine.
