Toony
It'll be a good game I think. Everton in very good form and are a good side under Koeman compared to what they were like last season. Liverpool still look good going forward but there's definitely question marks at the back. Think it'll be a draw.

The way you lot are playing compared to our sketchy form and with us having key players out or returning from Mars, I'd expect you to turn us over and you probably will. If anything, that's a reason not to worry for us. There's been plenty of occasions in recent years where they've gone into the game in better form and they've always bottled it. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted March 29, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted March 29, 2017 On paper there's no reason we can't win on Saturday but it's the derby so I expect nothing. Holgate probably in at right back. May have gone three at the back but if Mori is out too, a Holgate/Jags/Williams/Baines back four is pretty much the only option. Schneiderlin is likely to miss out and McCarthy too. Hope to god we don't see Barry in the line up and that we see Davies, Gueye and Barkley as a midfield three with Mirallas and probably Lookman either side of Lukaku. However, I can see Barry playing in the middle and Barkley taking Lookman's place in the front three. Eurgh.

As you say though, it's a Derby and anything can happen.
Dave
More importantly the last great remaining streak in football gets its biggest test on Saturday. When will somebody be able to get past The Walking Armageddon that is Mamadou Sakho?

A similar thing happened to us when UEFA decided to cut Liverpools European suspension once we qualified for Europe. It set us back years, possibly even decades as that team got ripped apart from it all. But we can't complain as Liverpool are always the victim. Still irks me that him and Klopp couldn't sort something out because Sakho is exactly what we needed coming into January, an experienced leader at the back but instead Klopp decided that Lucas and Klavan were better options!?! Ive heard Southampton want him in the summer and we are trying to sort out a deal to bring VD the other way but by the sound of it it's complicated because he's such a wanted man. Whether you were born or not is hardly an argument, a lot of us weren't alive at the time of Hillsbrough or the Munich Disaster but we still pay our respects. So now you are comparing people losing their lives in sporting disasters to your football club being banned from Europe? English football clubs were banned from Europe before you were even born, just let that sink in for a moment! This isn't about you paying your respects to anybody! It's about Everton not being allowed to play in Europe at a time when they were strong, before you were alive. Even Liverpool & Juventus, the two clubs involved, made their piece in two CL games home and away in 2005 when the clubs and the fans came together and paid tributes and respect to each other. 10 years later and we've still got an Everton & a Crystal Palace fan wetting themselves because their clubs weren't allowed to play in Europe for a period in the 1980's?!. Jesus Christ mate move on. It's not that big a deal.

Juventus paid tribute and respect in their own ground! Anyway, this is going down a whole different road to the original point which was that it's probably about time Everton fans (and any other fans of clubs banned from Europe in the 80's) stopped whinging about something that mildly effected them over 30 years ago. Moving on to the game: We should win if I'm being honest but because something is at stake and this game actually means something to us, we'll probably fuck it up.
