At this point I'm lost but seriously, why don't you sell pork sausages? Who the fuck wants beef burgers and beef sausages? For a nation built on the BBQ you still haven't fixed this mistake

You must have been cooked out of your mind for two years because you just go down to a butchery and buy them

The fact that you have to go to a butchers and can barely find any in supermarkets is the problem

there is nothing wrong with going to the butchery, you can be an honourary yank with that desire for convenience. It's very hard to get beef sausages in america that aren't sold as kosher hotdogs, so there is that dichotomy,, which is a little different

nothing wrong with it but when you're living on a budget the butcher ain't the place to go to

plus Australia is lot more like the US than the UK when it comes to commerce

the butchery is usually cheaper in my experiences. they usually have great deals and if you're a regular they like to treat you well and might throw in freebies

well yeah, neither are built around the medieval concept of a town market square, though there are still market squares in some places in australia

that is why we have RBTs, you just don't lie to the cops but instead exaggerate how many beers you've had to impress them, they may be cops but they are also aussies. had two beers? say you've had nine so you look like a solid cunt that can neck the tinnies. but yeah we are one of the biggest drinking countries in the world according to the WHO, only really being beat by those eastern euro countries that live through post-soviet capitalism and 11 months of darkness

I'll be honest it didn't feel like that over there, tiny pints and essentially shots of beer. You are champions of crystal meth though I'll give you that

well the pint in australia is a smaller unit of measurement than the UK but larger than the USA's pint. besides it's the size of the vessel, it's the quantity of them. apparently Australia is number 1 in female alcoholism haha

but then again it depends on the state, schooners are more common in QLD and NSW but you can get pints as well

@Danny I just checked the measurements, I don't know what you were ordering but a pint of beer in the UK is 568ml and in Australia it is 570ml, were you hanging out in South Australia? they are the only ones with a smaller pint

The plus side to Australia is the jug culture, 3$/5$ jugs, about 3 schooners, was decent to get you pissed. Plus you have goon which is essentially our white lightening/special brew. Sydney is terrible to party in, or at leats was, lockdown laws were stupid and ruined Kings Cross

I was ordering schooners cos you couldn't get pints, hence calling it a small pint :hh:

lockdown is over, they did it because they wanted to funnel people into the casino, because the casino owner is buddies with the legislation writers for the lockdown laws. that is the fucking liberal party for you, old boy scums

Yeha and property developers made their way into the cross, was the best but dirtiest thing about Sydney's nightlife

Asking for, which is probably why they gave us schooners, but it's so pointless to have both schooners and pints. I get the tiny little things for people just stopping by in the heat, but schooners are so pointless if pints are there

See, schooner is the default size in NSW and QLD. You have to understand that in the middle of summer unless you are drinking really fast the pint is going to be quite warm by the end of it, and not everyone wants to annihilate pints every 10 minutes. BTW a schooner is the same size as an american pint xD

No I completely get you have differing drink sizes, there was some funny ones like pots? But yeah, schooner and pint are pointless seeing as they're very close in size. Of course a schooner is an American pint though, of course it is

@Mpache  you're a strange guy sometimes. You come on a forum with mainly uk people. Ask them what do they prefer. A dish that they haven't heard of or one of the most popular dishes in the country xD

Haha yes, it was a bit of a piss take of a thread inspired by a comment made in the Lewandowski - Kane topic.

and here we have spike, a man with a strange interest in twisted knickers, who does not realise that I know him well enough to know that he was just throwing out light bait for a catch, who thought he'd caught a whopper but instead got his hook stuck on a sunken cooker. He also has a burning hatred for Australian border forces for even letting me into the country

I respect him for this.

fair enough, but variety is the spice of life, it doesn't worry me if I can have different sizes, the 19 year old backpacker from germany serving the beer should be annoyed though. pots are usually drank by old alcoholics that are taking a break from hard spirits or they've already had 40 pots that day

in america it's usually 16oz or 20oz, the latter being the same size as what we think of a pint. I think australia is the weird one out by having the same glass for every beer and offering different sizing for every beer.

You don't get good chip shop chips in straya, generally steak cut like weirdos

You’ve been to every one? Funny enough I’ve only had fish and chips a couple of times in England (London) and they were very disappointing.
