True Blue Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Fucking rent boys with your plastic bowl and your plastic fans you've got no history chavs. Think i pretty much covered it all.
Smiley Culture Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Just looks a bit ‘meh’ really. No distinguishing features inside the stadium that doesn’t make it look like any different to any identi-kit stadium made in the last twenty or so years.
Dave Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Chelsea have announced they have put their plans for a new stadium on hold. The club were given the go-ahead to start work on their new 60,000-capacity stadium by Hammersmith and Fulham council in March. However, a brief statement on the club's website said they had temporarily stalled the new stadium project because of the "current unfavourable investment climate".
Cicero Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 For those that aren't aware, Roman has been denied access into the country given his expired VISA. He has thereby put a hold on the stadium redevelopment because he wants to be allowed in the country to invest in his assets. Stadium alone is a 1 billion pound investment. Ridiculous the state of this club.
The Liquidator Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 If you know anything about our club you will know we have been failing in attracting serious "Investment" from almost the time we announced that was our favourable route of paying for the new stadium. Investment climate at the moment is the pits, you only have to look at the country’s economy for an idea how things are. Todays news comes as no surprise with some saying this decision was first made in February and obviously they decided to wait till the close season to announce it. Everything is still in place for work to start at any notice including Bates love nest on top of the hotel which has been paid for in full. Forget any bollocks you have read here & elsewhere including the BBC n know nothings.

And with the current TV deals and sponsorship, is adding an additional 20,000 seats even necessary considering the incredible investment and consequences of moving to Wembley for 3 seasons?

Everything you say here is correct. I would never dispute the adding of an extra 19,000 seats for the cost of, some say now 1 billion is as daft as it comes. We have to believe Roman thinks the same as he put the cost out to be financed from the start. Thing is, the club will fall behind clubs who have cash cow bigger stadiums as the powers at be have stopped benefactors from injecting funds as Roman once did. I understand the decision and have been expecting it for months.
6666 Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Any chance of Abramovich actually calling it a day on Chelsea? Either on investment in players or selling them altogether? Selling Chelsea would be a better option for Chelsea as you'd probably get a new, billionaire sugar daddy. Can see it being a Chinese owner.

It's been stated multiple times, and even written in his biography, that the club is his long term investment with his son taking over when he steps down.
Dr. Gonzo Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 A bit funny how investments are drying up as dirty Russian money is having a harder time being laundered in the UK.

Not as funny as the pain its inflicted on your and other former big clubs... That's big clubs who used to win things. That's fucking hilarious.
Dr. Gonzo Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Fuck mate, you should ask if Roman can spare a few bob to buy you some new banter.
