DeadLinesman 3,410 Posted March 3, 2017 Probably the greatest thing I've bought in a good while. It's enabled me to watch a variety of films over the last 12 months I probably wouldn't have paid for in the past, and when a films been shite, I haven't felt angry as it technically hasn't been a wast of money. Anybody else signed up to it?
Rab 894 Posted March 3, 2017 I've got a black cineworld card. #cineworldisking
DeadLinesman 3,410 Posted March 3, 2017 I think they're similar, aren't they? Although you get free 3d after year or something? I live a literal 3 minute walk from the local odeon so it was a no brainier for me.
Bluebird Hewitt 717 Posted March 3, 2017 Don't have either as neither are particularly close to me. The closest cinema to me is Showcase and I don't think they do a monthly version.
DeadLinesman 3,410 Posted March 3, 2017 2 new films would be £24 so £17.99 is a bargain when I'm there upto 3 times a week sometimes.
Danny 1,234 Posted March 3, 2017 I could never replace going to the cinema with a shit copy of a film in my frontroom, you just lose the magic of the pictures. Through work I could get £6 tickets so it was cheap, Odeon do do off-peak times at £6 a pop too. Pretty sure the NHS get fairly good discounts on things like this too. Rab 894 Posted March 3, 2017 Unlimited/limitless cards are definitely the way forward. I used to watch shitty torrented copies all the time, nothing beats the cinema experience.

Got most of my films in HD backed up on 2tb box though 😎 41 minutes ago, Danny said: I could never replace going to the cinema with a shit copy of a film in my frontroom, you just lose the magic of the pictures. The cinema experience is fantastic and it's pretty quiet when we go (usually Sunday night). Love a midweek viewing as well.

Should enquire more often.
Honking Antelope 4 Posted March 5, 2017 I was looking into getting Limitless. I get it at a reduced rate as well through work - £149.99 for the year. Not taken it yet but very tempted.
...Dan 649 Posted March 5, 2017 My local Odeon is currently £5 a ticket so I don't think these monthly passes are worth it.

How the fuck is it a fiver for a ticket? Logan alone was priced at £10.95 tonight without Limitless.
...Dan 649 Posted March 5, 2017 It's been like it about a month now I think. When I went to see La La Land I asked the ticket guy why it was so cheap and he said they'd got rid of premiere fees or something, and he didn't know how long it'd last. I'd guess they were struggling to make money. They're the oldest and smallest (as in building size) of the chain cinemas in Bristol and the Deluxe Showcase is five minutes down the road. DeadLinesman 3,410 Posted March 6, 2017 Scream Unseen is on tonight. Definitely going to watch it. Won't spoil it for those who don't know what the film is.
carefreeluke 595 Posted March 6, 2017 Yeah a mate of mine was telling me about this. Do you have to sign up for a whole year?
