Smiley Culture Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Potentially just a point away from promotion for Köln. The sacking of Markus Anfang must be as a result behind the scenes, I think. Four defeats post Winter break isn’t great but there’s only been two draws, so it’s not as though they’ve dropped off hugely. It’s somewhat understandable that Anfang’s eye may have been taken off the ball, given his dad had a heart attack recently but I don’t think that will be the reason he was sacked. I did have my reservations about how Anfang would cope in the Bundesliga next year, given the number of goals conceded in 2 Liga but I would have definitely given him a chance.

Administrator Stan Posted May 4, 2019 Administrator Posted May 4, 2019 WTF Hamburg? 3-0 at home to a relegation-threatened side. Pathetic.
Administrator Stan Posted May 4, 2019 Administrator Posted May 4, 2019 Heidenhem didn't help themselves either, also losing at home.
londonerlilie Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Well, it seems like no one really wants to leave the league!
Smiley Culture Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Darmstadt beating Union Berlin today means Koln only need a point for promotion tomorrow night at Furth.
Moderator Tommy Posted May 6, 2019 Moderator Posted May 6, 2019 Köln fans chanting Anti-Düsseldorf chants. This is going to be some derby next season
Rucksackfranzose Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 HSV 0-1 down at Paderborn at half time, since Union lead HSV would play 2.Buli next season as it stands. Very disappointing as they have the by far most valueable squad in 2.Liga. Sacking Titz for Wolf has worked wonders in hindsight.
Chadwell Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 No less than what’s deserved. I don’t blame Wolf, the lack of genuine playmakers catches up with us yet again. All teams have to do is sit back and frustrate, and we have no lockpickers. We just got found out in the late stages of the season, simple as. Not enough will, not enough experience, and not enough creativity.

Might give it a watch as it's on BT Sport today. Paderborn win and they get promoted. Which means Union Berlin will play Stuttgart in the play-off.
Administrator Stan Posted May 19, 2019 Administrator Posted May 19, 2019 Dresden just scored a very fortunate goal. Shot hit the post then rolls in after hitting the back of the keeper.
nudge Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 HSV 1-0 up against MSV; only 20 more goals to score and hope that Union loses to make it to the relegation playoff
Administrator Stan Posted May 19, 2019 Administrator Posted May 19, 2019 Dresden now winning. Paderborn decided to finish defending for the season.
