Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted January 13, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 13, 2019 Easy win for City, at home and they have found rhythm again. Sane is literally tearing defenders apart with his pace and accuracy and if they put in half of what they did against us they'll break Wolves down very fast.

Not so much found rhythm again, rather 6 key players have returned from injury

Hope its a good game.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 13, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 13, 2019 Wolves are tricky bastards against the top six. City should still have too much for them but it'll be closer than most.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 14, 2019 If you had to trademark a Pep's City goal, that's the one.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2019 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2019 Typical Man City goal. Break the lines with a pinpoint pass, square it across 6-yard box for an easy tap in. They make it look so easy.

Inverted Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Am I going mental or did Fernandinho actually just get booked for cynically stopping a counterattack?
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2019 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2019 Given what other players have been sent off for similar challenges, that's the right decision. The follow through works against him.
Rick Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Aye, any hope of wolves getting anything has evaporated with that red.
The Artful Dodger Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Refs defo fixing it so Man City can win the league.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 14, 2019 Red card for Boly. Game over. Looks harsh for me. Won the ball and his foot is barely an inch off the ground. What a sport this is now where I know the majority of people will argue with me that it was a stonewall red. Man City fans may argue justice after Boly's hand of god goal against them at Molyneux.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2019 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2019 Not saying I agree, but just unfortunate. On the flip side, I've seen worse challenges go unpunished.
Cicero Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 That's just unlucky. That said, City were always going to win this game.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2019 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2019 Cor Jesus went flying in to the post. Ouch.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 14, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 14, 2019 Can anyone remember the last time one of those challenges actually caused a serious injury? There must have been 50-100 red cards given for "That could have broken his leg but didn't" since the last time one had to be given for an actual Shawcross style leg breaker. Maybe the one that did Coleman was the last one. Furthermore, McCarthy suffered a horror injury last season for us off a purely accidental collision with Rondon who correctly wasn't punished for it, so I still don't see why what used to be deemed good tackles now have to be red cards if you clip someone above the ankle on the follow through and give a 1 in 500 chance of seriously hurting them. Anyway, I'm pissing into the wind by still arguing against it. The toothpaste is well and truly out of the tube.
