Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted January 24, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 24, 2019 Taken from a trip up to the Sunderbans late last year. This is apparently called a moon pearl found like Chilika Lake up in Orissa (north-east India).

nudge Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I posted it in another thread a while ago but I'll post it again here My two best night photos.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 24, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 24, 2019 My favourite photo I've ever taken. There's a collection of these but this is the best of the bunch.

Standard kit lens with camera mounted on tripod on a long exposure. Took a lot of trial and error but once I got the settings right, I was delighted.

Administrator Stan Posted January 24, 2019 Administrator Posted January 24, 2019 London at night is one of the best views ever. Obviously changed the lighting on this a bit, with The Shard as the focus of the photo, viewpoint is from Sky Gardens in the 'walkie-talkie' building...

Looks like a cityscape from some dystopian sci-fi movie! Love it.

Administrator Stan Posted January 26, 2019 Administrator Posted January 26, 2019 Good old Isambard Kingdom Brunel, inspiring designs like this . Was looking through old pictures on my laptop and this is from when I went to Bristol on a stag do, one of the calmer moments soaking up the scenery!
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 29, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 29, 2019 Not fantastic but always wanted to try some photography of this sort. Going to attempt to do similar with my nearby motorway soon when the weather gets a little bit clearer.
nudge Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Fishing village on the islands near the port. Those people actually live on water for the whole time; don't even want to know how it feels like during the storm

nudge Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Imgur compresses the images though so the quality loss can be really significant sometimes. I use cubeupload myself.
Administrator Stan Posted February 2, 2019 Administrator Posted February 2, 2019 Not my picture but saw this on Twitter. Taken from above during the polar vortex phenomenon which is happening in US at the moment. Lake Michigan frozen with the Chicago skyline in the background
