  2. I am generally happy with the squad selection. Players like the young forward Sikan, who has really improved might be disappointed that he wasn't selected. But then again Vanat has arguably played better than Sikan this season, so it wasn't really surprising that Vanat was called up as the 3rd centre forward behind Dovbyk and Yaremchuk. There are other back-up players who had a good shout at making the squad who weren't chosen, but ultimately the players Rebrov the manager has chosen are just as good. The main thing is that all the key players were selected. The depth in the team looks as strong as it has ever been. The creative quartet of Tsyhankov, Sudakov and Mudryk, supporting La Liga's leading scorer Dovbyk, looks a mouth watering prospect. If the attacking players pick up form and play to their potential at the Euros, they could do some serious damage. I also hope that the left-back Mykolenko recovers from his injury in time to play. While Zinchenko needs to improve his fitness issues and get back to playing how we all know he can play. All in all, it looks a very strong squad that Rebrov is taking with him to Germany.
  3. Man Utd finishing 8th and it not even being a point of discussion says it all.
  4. Growing up I could've never imagined finishing 29pts ahead of Man Utd but still not winning title.
  5. Credit to Arsenal for holding their nerve and winning their last 6 games. They didn't throw it away, they just made City win it and finishing two points behind is no mean feat. They have actually improved on last years tally by 5pts so they've made another stride forward. To think, City won their last 9 League games, and won 57pts out a possible 63 from Christmas onwards. That's what they had to do to win the league. That's just insane form really. Bar a penalty shootout, you'd 100% have backed them to do a back to back treble too, so what can you do when your up against that? Thank god we've seen the three come up disappear quickly. Luton provided entertainment and fair play to them for that but two teams have been given points deductions and stayed up without any kind of nervous, squeaky bum time moment near the end. That says it all about the quality of the relegated sides. Aston Villa deserve enourmous praise for getting Champions League. They have been brilliant and Villa Park will be excellent under the lights midweek next season. How Emery did that with so many injuries and a wafer thin squad is beyond me. My final message is Chelsea. Pochettino has to stay. He's had one PL defeat since February, got his side to one cup final, nearly two, probably should have been, and for all the bad press and criticism they have had, he's given them belief and confidence to kick on next season. Minus the injuries, they would defintely be in that Top 4 discussion.
  6. Today
  7. Touch of class when he had the crowd sing a song for him. Best times as a Liverpool fan. We may be more successful in terms of trophies in the future, but I can’t see anybody making me feel like he did.
  8. Had to wipe my eyes a few times today. Gutted is an understatement. Given us everything in the last 9 years, leaves an absolute legend and the most important man in football for me in my life time.
  9. They are not the REAL United fans, will be the prawn sandwich mob from London, no Manc United fan would even want us to win a corner ..but loving all the salt today lol, it's the reason i joined the forums in 2008
  10. I'm not upset, you could of beaten us at the Etihad too, you was playing the better football at the time and the way you approached that game is one of the reasons why you are not Champions today, your clubs mentality needs to change if you want to win the title play like Champions
  11. United fans on social media that are glad City won the league because it stopped Arsenal. Weird but it just goes to show what function City play for most football fans. Nobody is actually arsed about them because everyone knows their success is plastic and nobody actually knows any City fans. They just exist as a means to stop teams from winning the league that you don't want. Even my girlfriend's brother who supports Liverpool was saying he'd rather City won it over Arsenal because if Arsenal do you wouldn't hear the end of it (which is odd considering Liverpool fans usually act outraged if neutrals don't line up to back them against Man City in a title race "for the good of football" or whatever, but I digress). It would be brilliant for English football if they get sent packing to at least the Championship following the 115 charges and the whole project fell to pieces.
  12. Won the league but you're still upset that we beat you twice, drew once, and lost zero against you this season. You know your dodgy team doesn't deserve this title.
  13. Congratulations @Michael Thanks for running this @Rucksackfranzose Always good to finish above @Stan & @Tommy
  14. Loved Klopp basically announcing Slot as the next manager. Been some ride with him hasn't it.
  15. Thank you @Rucksackfranzose for organising and running this competition. It was entertaining and I'll be ready to defend my title at the beginning of next season if you continue to run it.
  16. Carragher is so bias it’s beyond parody. Refers to Klopp’s fist pumping as no other manager would have the balls to do it so early on at a club but thought Arteta was smalltime for celebrating a goal. Sky Sports in a nutshell
  17. Imagine if Arsenal had won at the Etihad instead of parking the bus
  18. Enough about Stan, what's your view on P Diddy?
  19. I wouldn't say certainly. Nobody seems to know for certain if they have release clauses and how much they'll be. Or if the impending new financial rules proposed by Steve Parish will allow us to keep hold of some of our sellable assets. It could be a scenario where we lose just one sellable asset in Marc Guehi. If that happens then we have had a very good transfer window.
  20. City and Arsenal are lucky we kept our title winning form till the last 2 games.
  21. IF Ryan Reynolds new movie about a kid who starts seeing her imaginary friends again. Pretty good visual effects and a heartwarming storyline. My daughter loved it. 7/10
  22. Considering the season we have had to finish 6th and be back in Europe in some form or another is welcome if not a little unexpected.. Don't know what the plans are over the summer but we will miss Thiago Silva.. what a great player he has been for us
  23. West Ham never looked like getting anything from Man City. Anyway, a sad day for football. This plastic club needs to receive its punishment soon.
  24. Sounds like a hint of controversy about Arsenal's winner. Referee was called to the screen but he didn't disallow it. I actually would like to see referees do this more but it would happen against us . A shame not to hold on for a draw but it's meaningless really. Even a win today wouldn't have gained us a league position and Brentford lost so we didn't lose one. That £2.5m prize money per league position is a big deal for us sadly. Still, if we had our deducted points back we now know we were one point away from the top half of the league, 22 points clear of relegation. Even with another difficult summer ahead in terms of transfers, that should be reassurance that our aim for next season is to steer clear from any potential relegation battles. Fingers crossed for no further points deductions.
  25. That is the only tragic part, you are almost certainly losing Olise and Eze
  26. What a day of football. Crawley winning at Wembley and Palace finishing in the top half for the first time in nine years. The fact we have done it by finishing above Brighton, who had been above us for 37 gameweeks, makes it when better. It's going to break my heart when this team gets torn apart in the summer.
