  1. Not sure if it's a common occurrence in similar workplaces in how they deal with it but we do seem a bit hit and miss about things... It's all a bit of a mess if I am honest.. On one hand we are very lucky to be working in a place that has to have very high hygiene standards for both premises, equipment and staff so in that regard we kind of have a head start on say a normal warehouse type environment but within that even though we are talking the talk of safe distancing etc it's almost impossible to achieve in reality.. I mean we get a lot of staff that not only live together and have partners in the same house but also travel to and from work together in groups of 3 or 4 then they work together side by side all day for 11 hours on lines/departments etc and it's not possible to separate them due to the nature of the job but then you will get some senior management that come in once a week for a quick tour/better show my face type visit and start moaning at them because couples sit together for an hours lunch.. They moved our department out of the little office we share with Goods-in staff because you get about 5 or 6 people in there at a time doing various pc work and they deemed it breaking social distancing rules so moved us outside to the old Engineers hut that was sitting empty.. 2 weeks later there was a reported leak in the roof and suddenly we were all moved back into the cramped office and Health & Safety who deemed it unfit for purpose under the rules 2 weeks prior are now stating they are satisfied that no-one will face each other during an entire 11 hour shift.. They seem to be doing what they can to at least appear to be following all the rules that allow them to continue operating legally but in reality can't possibly make it happen.. They also got all the staff back that were 'at risk' and on furlough about 2 months ago which was nearly 90% of the factory staff that can't possibly stay away from other people, the job functions just don't allow it.. meanwhile our H&S officer has had 2 desks moved from a 6 desk set up upstairs so he can sit alone and nowhere near anyone else... this is the same bloke that deems it ok to cram 5 or 6 people in one little office downstairs.. Just laughable really... except it's really not all that funny
  2. Just been sent home early from work.... Found out my daughter has been in contact with someone who's 2 friends both got a positive test result for Covid and work said they didn't want to take any chances even though neither of us are showing any symptoms currently. They gave us a link to a website to get a test booked but because they won't allow you to book the test unless you actually have the symptoms work have told me I can return tomorrow....
  3. Being realistic.. although the side is a very good one on paper it may take a little while to gel to be getting the best out of them so I don't expect us to be getting into any decent form for about the first 6-10 games... Anything earlier than that will be a bonus. Given the end of last season and the start to this one with zero pre-season under our belts we have no idea who might hit the ground running and who might need a bit more time.. Players will either be a bit rusty, not fully match fit etc... but this applies to all clubs and players not just ourselves obviously... Given all the recent additions I think we will have the biggest adjustments to make compared to say Liverpool who have stayed pretty much with last seasons line up for example and players will need to get to know each others playing styles, Having said that I am hopeful that we can turn all that possession we had last season into an end product which we often failed to do previously, Hopefully Werner will continue his good form and be hitting the back of the net on a regular basis and with Harvertz, Ziyech and Pulisic we can be far more creative unlocking sides.. A top 4 finish would be realistic but we are still a way of Liverpool and City points wise so if we could be in the chase and reduce that points gap by not throwing away silly points and pick up a Trophy along the way then I would be happy with that... so talking of throwing away silly points our achilles heel last season was obviously our defensive frailty which I am also hopeful will improve, If it doesn't then it could be more rocky results ahead and a ton of extra pressure on Lampard... Although we are in the Champions League I don't know if it would be better for us to go out in the group stages but still qualify for the Europa... We stand a far better chance with a fresh squad of players in making headway in that then we are probably going to do if we get to the knockout stages of the CL especially this season.. Exciting times ahead though whatever happens...
  4. Being honest that just sounds like the bog standard range of emotions for a female when you have pissed her off about something...
  5. You know we like to moan and complain about stuff... Telling us you don't get what all the whining is about just gives us something else to whine about...
  6. This is going to rage on and on.... I can understand Epic games doing what they did with Apple getting 30% of all purchases which is just pure greed at the end of the day...
  7. I am reading that the Government are going to try and enforce the Rules by bringing in 'Covid Marshalls' to ensure people are following the rules... A job for @DeadLinesman if ever I heard one...

  9. Do you think Cicero works in the accounts department or something???
  10. Just like my 'One more episode' style that keeps me up most of the night...
  11. It was always the opposite with me... last knockings before bed, go through a chapter or two helped me settle down and it didn't disturb the missus when she was trying to sleep
  12. More stupidity... telling people they can't gather at home in numbers but can still travel/go to work and pubs and gyms and schools.... It's one or the other?? Just cherry picking to seem in control and coming across as being pro active in my opinion... If we followed the same rules as the House of Commons there would not be enough workers in places to keep things going... us and them at it's finest This Government in a nutshell...
  13. Need to take up reading again, might help me sleep at night...
  14. Talking of that, My daughter has just told me that someone did a live stream on Tik Tok shooting himself in the head... Jesus, kids use that as well...

  16. Just shows how dumb they can be... they never learn do they... On one hand you could argue that they are young and it's their first outing/call up and they got a bit carried away and over excited by it all but totally agree with @Lucas... You don't go and fuck up your first decent chance in the squad do you and even more so given the current situation... Thick as fuck
  17. No need to panic mate, there can be some blame placed at your players door.... No need to call in the lawyers and get all defensive about it.. you can't buy your way out of every situation..
  18. Seems as though Manchester clubs create idiots... Walker, Maguire and now Greenwood and Foden..

I have to agree... seems an over the top decision for me, A warning for his behaviour on court would have been sufficient... clearly not intentional and he rushed to her aid when he realised what happened and apologised...
