I do think Choudhury is likely to be punished soon but I also think he's been a bit unlucky as well. The Salah one wasn't an attempt to injure him - it was the standard cynical foul you see in the majorty of games, and it wasn't the first in that game either, Liverpool were just as guilty. The Ritchie one Stan basically covers. The Bamba one is the really reckless one, I do think it was a genuine attempt to play the ball but it was a terrible challenge really. It was a desperate attempt to recover a situation gone totally wrong. As for our style Stan again basically covers it - he has time and time again stuck Maddison out wide and the results of this tell you everything you need to know, I'm pretty sure Vardy has 1 goal from this set up and about 12 from the other.

Rodgers has criticised the lack of goals from our wingers. For me he's spot on and it's exactly what we're missing - in 9 games, they have one goal between the four of them. I'm not saying enforce a rule banning black players from Italy, I'm saying black players as a collective could say we're not going to play in Italy until these problems are demonstratably sorted and action has been taken to improve the situation. Therefore they gain some of the power in the situation and make the Italians realise that it's unacceptable - because I don't think they seem to realise that.

Only way you'll solve things like it is hitting them where it hurts - black players need to just not go to Italy. That will hurt Italian football as they miss out on potentially top quality players. Can't think of how else you solve it. Make them realise they've got something to lose here.

The real way I think around sorting out the farce around handball is to show replays at real time. Show these other angles but show them at real time so that you can appreciate what's actually happened. Everything looks far worse if it's slowed down.

Funnily enough I think you're onto something there. VAR makes officials in danger of becoming obsolete and it's the officials themselves in control of it. They're in a slightly lose/lose position here. If they work it properly then it's the first step towards referees going full stop.

I'm amazed how many people absolve VAR of any blame with that new handball rule - it's literally been changed to supplement VAR, and in doing so has lost all common sense.
