  1. It is beyond a joke. Feel like we used up our luck in this regard a few years ago. It's infurating because he didn't really need to play that game. Gutted for him as I think he'd have been in the England squad this summer on this seasons form, and a big hit to us, he's filled in everywhere at the back. Massive hit.
  2. Didn't disappoint. I've never gotten the ins and outs but it's always looked... shall we say interesting to the outsider. The year you actually get a win at PSG too and you end up imploding once again. I wondered a couple of years ago if you would ever do a Monaco and actually flirt with relegation, such is the shambles.
  3. Where is Batard. Fuck sake. The content could've been superb.
  4. That's such a downgrade if so. Got to be a money related move.
  5. It's mad really. Fun times trying to buy Cameron Stewart, Koren, Chester etc... We're a good example really of why nobody should totally give it up. Things can get good one day.
  6. It really is superb, really is the kind of move I think that elevates us to another level as a club. It is amazing really when you think of the last ten years. Where we came from, the fortunes have turned around. This is the strongest period in our history and moves like this I think will only ensure we prolong it.
  7. That bloke's a fucking maniac. I love him.
  8. We've been like it for a long time (To be totally honest, I think a lot of clubs are). Taken to another extreme under Rodgers though.
  9. Said it before and I'll say it again but the pros (a gradual increase in correct decisions) are nowhere near outweighing the cons (killing the best moments in football).
  10. Red card after 10 minutes that better not be Ricardo.
  11. Really, really hope he's back to what he was like beforehand. He really was superb. Castagne, Ricardo and Justin is a steady selection of full backs. Thought Justin was about the only player to come out of yesterday with any credit. Albrighton's out of his depth in games like that now.
  12. Echo what Stan said that we've been forced into it really, you can't even draw any conclusions from most teams we name because we seem to have a minimum of 4 players out at a time. If we get a win tonight we've had a quite remarkable start really, I know it's a tight table but if we end up 2nd, with 100% in Europe, despite this many missing we've done very well. Big question on how sustainable it is mind you. We got rid of our long term physio in the summer. It's hard to tell if it's a direct link to this but it felt to me a bit of a cop out from Rodgers, deflecting from the errors he'd made himself. We were always likely to have problems this season but it's how early they've started that concerns me. I feel like we're not going to name a first XI all season. We always used to be really good for lack of injury issues as well.
  13. I thought at the time it was a superb signing. Not the player he was anymore but a good footballer, good brain and quality on the ball - the types of attributes that will carry somebody even without the legs. Inspired signing on a free.
  14. Was so surreal. Can't believe it's already been two years. You never imagine anything like it will happen to your own club. The tributes from the other clubs and fans does stick in my head.
  15. Fundamentally does not work in football and never will, it is too little reward for too much sacrifice. You're aiming for a target you will never achieve and ruining a significant part of the sport in doing that. Reminds me of Covid.
  16. I've got to say it does seem odd, some double standards going on here. I can't work out how Maguire's become seemingly undroppable for both club and country. His performances aren't even close to justifying that sort of status.
  17. I can't believe the level of stupidity of this Wales friendly. I personally think given it's in its infancy, the Nations League should've been culled this year or just moved to whenever the next one was meant to be, seeing as we're having to catch up this season given the fact we started a month later. We therefore could've had one international break to get the play-offs done, and in doing this, saved playing another 6 or so games internationally, freeing up a space in say November to play 2/3 more domestic games and taking away the fixture congestion later on in the season. To go ahead with it is one thing, but to then throw another friendly in too is absolutely unbelievable all the absolute nonsense they spout about how much we need a winter break, that ridiculous scheduling last year (which was just an excuse to move every game in one matchday for TV) yet when you have a legitimate reason to not play they choose to play extra games!!! Incredible levels of ineptness and don't we play New Zealand in the next break as well? I mean I can't even get my head around it. Just madness.
  18. Strange you tagged me in this thread as I'd seen earlier we wanted Rashica, made me think there was something in it for a second Yes it happened to us. Highly embarrassing all round.
  19. So fucking infuriating. That really is likely to be enough to blunt our good start.
  20. He's right. It's just typical Premier League. It's all superficial, virtue signalling bullshit.
  21. Their rules are a load of utter nonsense that deserve the contempt they'll likely be treated with. There are so many contradictions I've no idea how anyone takes them seriously.
  22. It surely cannot be as shambolic as last season. That was just embarrassing for the league.
