  1. I'd like an X-Men remake but I don't know what kind of hoops they'd have to run through with whoever owns that licensing now and how complicated hero licensing is in that particular Marvel brand.
  2. Fresh off seeing the TMNT remake have success, Arc Systems has partnered up with Wayforward again to push a sequel to RCG which is a classic beat-em-up with some tweaks. I played the original years ago and didn't even know they were still doing these and RCG Zero is a total mess so I'd avoid it.
  3. Because people told this robot to, it crossed a line it shouldn’t have – Bestgamingpro Interesting short article about how humans made an AI do something it really never would have.
  4. EVGA Terminates Its Relationship With Nvidia; Won't Launch Next-Gen GPUs (tech4gamers.com) Putting aside the Adobe acquisition of Figma this week, this is the next big piece of tech/gaming news. When you hear how nVidia really was making its partners dance to its own tune it sort of makes sense for EVGA to jump out of the business completely. What isn't good is that now you have only a few manufacturers who will be doing cards and that ultimately means they could price it much higher if they really wanted to while nVidia just sits there and gets a profit no matter which route the consumer takes. I liked them as a company (EVGA) because they had great cards especially in the 1XXX series and definitely in the 9XX when they did the big jump that bought so many good things to gaming like Tessellation, CUDA, etc. If you've got 30 min to spare (P.S. Gamers Nexus really is one of the better tech channels on YT)
  5. Tencent Guts Gaming News Site Fanbyte, Fired With No Warning (kotaku.com) What a shock haha
  6. Revealing Rise of the Ronin, a new action-RPG from Team Ninja – PlayStation.Blog They're back and I hope this turns into something very Gaiden-like. It's been a long time.
  7. Breach of software maker used to backdoor as many as 200,000 servers | Ars Technica It really doesn't pay to be company called "Fishpig" I guess. Also, one of the comments did bring to light something the industry is doing in general, offering bug bounties to the open community to get ahead of these issues.
  8. Probably the best Switch title with Metroid coming in a close second.
  9. Nintendo Direct Showcases Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom (kotaku.com) @Bluebird Hewitt I'm quite happy with that. Looking forward to Fire Emblem and of course LoZ. The Goldeneye remake does give me some more interest but we will have to wait and see what they do there.
  10. In a way I think its what was always going to happen and I'd imagine they planned for any kind of fallout contingency like this anyways. It does, however, put a probably spanner in the works for teams who have players going to the WC and potential injuries and fatigue post that. Edit: Just to clarify it wasn't a contingency based on death but more the unavoidable circumstances forcing games to be postponed for whatever reason.
  11. We look labored and honestly incapable of changing the way we play unless we go down a goal (or three like last night) and even then we're still not clinical enough. I am not sure if the midfield will ever be right considering we'd need Thiago and Fab fit for a full season which seems a bit unrealistic at this point just judging on the way injuries have been in the past.
  12. With Stable Diffusion, you may never believe what you see online again | Ars Technica AI fixing poorly pixelated images. Fun times ahead considering the big ruckus around an AI winning an art competition.
  13. Have a strange feeling all our misgivings domestically will all be redundant in the Champions League this season.
  14. That's shit but the good news is that you can get most of it back minus the drivers license which is a trip to the DMV. Try not to think too much about it and enjoy the rest of the trip.
  15. That's not too bad honestly considering the graphics used in the game but I figured they'd have it around the 3hr mark. Maybe that's the next edition.
  16. i found some of the boss variations more annoying that the EMMIs personally. Did you manage to get everything?
  17. One of my favorite players from that team was Mascherano. He regressed a bit as time went on but his initial time with Xabi was superb.
  18. It was an experiment and like you said I am glad its over because the Deacon in Prometheus is where I drew the line of how much of garbage Hollywood was really willing to shove down our throats. Then they did Covenant and I said that was the right thing to do even if the evolutionary pattern was one of the most oddest things I saw. And the fact that Ridley Scott actually said yes to it made me think the man has lost the plot.
  19. I thought the Alien hunt in the first AVP was half okay. Yeah it had humans which made it hilarious but I think a proper action sci-fi flick with them in it might have taken off. The problem is that Hollywood needs a face and that can't just be two monsters at the level of a Predator and a Xeno even though I believe the latter is one of the most iconic sci-fi monsters of all time.
  20. They probably want to expand the universe a bit and I can see why. It's actually quite easy to start using the era-sets to showcase variants of the Predator and how it evolves over time or possibly hierarchy as well. Much like they did with Alien and showing Xeno origins and how that intersected with the landing of the Nostromo in the first movie when they did the Prometheus arc.
  21. Think his fishing expedition was bountiful the minute he put it on Twitter.
  22. Prey - 6/10 I quite liked the premise and the era it was set in but so many things didn't really make sense like the magical-get-out-of-tough-situation tokens. I won't spoil them for anyone but I also felt like this brand of Predator needs to have a serious think about whether its a hunter of a bumbling idiot that is incapable of staying hidden and maybe that's the evolutionary aspect of the franchise but to me it felt a bit weird. I also don't want to compare it to the original which would be unfair but I never felt a sense of dread or ever felt like the main protagonist was ever in any true danger because she seemed a bit bullet-proof. One of my favorite parts of the 87 classic was when Dutch is walking to the center of the trap and they are confused why none of them have sprung, so he walks the traps and the camera is focused on him and then out of nowhere the Predator makes a mistake and gets caught in the net. I never really got any sense of that in this film which is a shame because the setting really afforded it quite a bit.
  23. When you say red light for the CPU what does that mean? Also, does the CPU have a heatsink with a fan and does that spin up? The only reason I ask is that the power line block that connects to the CPU also powers the CPU fan on some motherboards so its a good way to know the board is getting the power it needs. If it was the RAM you'd get a POST beep of kinds telling you the RAM is not in the right slot but that isnt the case here.
  24. I played it earlier in the year and its quite fun. I quite liked annoying the people in the game haha.
