It works but the thing that is very interesting about it is that when you go from Active to Passive the EQ drop is so high that you have to boost the amp more than a normal passive bass. Not the end of the world but it's definitely not churning out as much output as let's say a basic Fender/MusicMan.

Sounds super too. It's such a nice instrument for speed playing too.

Picked up one of these a week ago and I have to say this, Marcus Miller has done the bass players community a huge service by putting out these instruments. They may not be your class Fender Jazz bass but omg what a tone and sound. The controls are a whole other story and how this thing does active/passive flipping isn't my favorite but its super nice when you start to play it and get around the instrument. Sire Marcus Miller V7 2nd Generation | Alder - Sire USA (sire-usa.com) For the cost I will say this is probably what any intermediate musician should buy because it's almost professional grade and can really give you enough to sculpt any kind of jazz sounds you want out of it. Would I take it to a rock gig? probably not as my P-Bass really is the boss there but when I do impromptu sessions with friends or work with the schools this thing is a one-stop-shop for getting really good sounds.

Watched Oppenheimer today and liked it. I don't know if it was too long but there were parts of it I could care less for. RDJ is stellar in it as well as the movie starts to wind towards the end.

For me Rise of the Ronin may be the one I am most interested in from that lot. As for Metal Gear, no Kojima = don't care for what they put out. The joke is that imo that's the best one of the entire lot they are redoing.

In no particular order The Head New tuners with better gauge tuning, I am sick of these and they are actually going to come apart soon I'll add a drop D tuner peg too but I am still debating on if I want to go that route The Body Change the pickups to classic Jazz bass sand down the whole body and change the color to something mustard yellowish or I may change it to something else. I want the wood finish to go away and it to be replaced with something more muted When its done I am going to take sandpaper to it again and grate it in certain areas and then laquer it all to be finalized Change the pickup guard but that is literally the last thing in the list as I am still deciding change the pots and faceplate to something more 50s so I get those nice warm sounds I want on it change the saddle to a cigarette style block with the ability to string through and over the block body changes I want contours under the body for playing at the very end I want a nicer shaped contour on the top that sits flush with me when I play it, these are very straight The Neck This is the BEST part of the guitar and I think it would be absolutely criminal to change it but ... New inlays, something like mother of pearl with a silver finish I want the frets all polished on the sides I want the same neck to have better intonated frets Switch out round wounds to flat wounds for that old-school jazzy sound Lastly, I want someone to smooth the back and take away the plastic finish and make it a smooth wooden neck like it should be. I have started buying parts for this already so its just a matter of time before I start to gut it anyways.

So, I have finally found the bass I am going to use for a complete rework project. It's a 70s Classic Vibe - Jazz Bass (picture included) I'll start the gutting next week and then do the franken-bass planning post that. Quite excited.

I think airing the decision-making process would make it easier for viewers to understand what is actually going on and how the VAR team comes to the conclusions they do. Will it be perfect on day 1? No. But it will get better over time.

Luckily for both of us someone has already done their bass pube tribute with a more popular tune.

Probably one of my top 3 styles of guitar for usage. They are versatile (minus the bending and even there you get a bit of wiggle room from the board) and the only downside I would state is that they can sound a bit shrill and not so deep at times but even that is fixable with the right pickups. Trying to buy one?

Wonder where these evaluations come from honestly? that seems like a terrible deal for any club that's been following his progress. Especially a club in the PL.

Oh I was definitely interested on PC but I can't find anything I'd really want to play yet. When Starfield comes out I might give it a crack again. I originally wanted it for Killer Instinct but that has gone to the wayside now haha.

I do like GamePass and I think its the best online gaming invention ever since it covers such a wide spectrum of gamers and their individual tastes. That said I still am on the fence about getting an XBox just because I can't see the benefit at the moment. Will wait to see how Starfield pans out because I like the idea I am just not a 100% sure they're there technically yet.

I did watch the presentation and liked what I saw. I am just curious how it all pans out now. This is definitely a step in the right direction but im going to sit this one out like I almost did with Cyberpunk to see what month ONE offers.

One of the worst things ever invented by Software Engineer is the Patch. It allows devs to be super complacent because hey we can catch it later. It's very rare you see a polished AAA title and very few studios are notoriously good at it. Surprise that none of them work with Microsoft or Sony lol. What's even more odd is tht with the amount of money these projects have thrown at them the bugs should never be in core parts of the game but they are.

Its not that. They moved the release dates a few times and I will definitely take a crack at it when it comes out but they've had to cut a few corners to make it work right and that worries me a bit. The reason why is that with something as ambitious as this if the devs are talking about cutting corners you know they've got a lot of things that won't work right in the first few months.
