  1. Can't really feel too bad for Brewster as he himself has decided racism isn't a big deal.
  2. Hazard overall is probably the most talented player in the league, it's just a shame for him that he's had 2 managers that slightly sacrifice attacking play to concentrate more on defence.
  3. I think the first goal is to just get back into the top 4. Not making it under his first season obviously wouldn't be a sackable offence as he'd be coming into it after two seasons of us not being there anyway. In his first season, as long as he doesn't completely have a disaster like falling out of the top half or even the top 6, he just needs to show he has ideas that can be capitalised on similar to how things were with Klopp at Liverpool. Think during his first season at Liverpool they actually finished 8th but he showed enough promise.
  4. Think for even his sake he should call it a day. It's like these cunts aren't even trying for him right now after he constantly defends them and it's not like we can get rid of the players. Not sure who I'd want as the new manager. Leonardo Jardim or Thomas Tuchel would be two I'd be happy with.
  5. I don't know, I'm quite pessimistic about how we'll do. I think form counts for a lot especially as Gattuso has this AC Milan team aggresively closing down and playing with a lot of motivation whereas we seem to be just dead inside. Maybe I just have to remember that it's Man City that battered us twice with ease and that AC Milan are no Man City but the whole feeling around the club is down right now and I think that will affect us. Not even too confident about a result against Brighton.
  6. You obviously haven't been paying attention to Italian football. AC Milan are actually in very good form right now. I'd say they're favourites right now.
  7. I remember that I was the one that said it was a good signing. Only really knowledgeable one amongst these psychotic, emotionally led Arsenal fans.
  8. Into the second season of Peaky Blinders. Tom Hardy plays a nutcase better than anyone in history.
  9. Phantom Thread - Great performance from DDL but the film didn't really live up to the hype around it. 6.5/10 Darkest Hour - Thought they were going to glorify Churchill too much and make him look like the ultimate strong and fair leader but they didn't do that and actually made him look quite ordinary. The film itself and how it was told was decent enough. 7/10 Call Me By Your Name - Some would way that most pretentious films are gay but this was definitely a gay, pretentious film. Moonlight last year was very good but this had very little going on that I found interesting or engaging in any way. Another Oscar nominated film, another disappointment. 5/10 The Killing Of A Sacred Deer - Yorgos Lanthimos has one fucked up mind. Don't know how this didn't get nominated, better than a lot on the list. 8/10
  10. Roman J. Israel, Esq - 6/10 Thor Ragnorak - 7/10 I, Tonya - 7.5/10 Lady Bird - 7/10 Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - 6.5/10 The Post - 7.5/10
  11. The Florida Project - If the purpose of this film was to make you sympathetic towards Willem Dafoe's character and hate everyone else in it and hate everyone in real life that are like those characters then what a film. 5/10
  12. Winston Churchill was a scumbag that made a couple of good speeches.

There’s a pub near Parliament where Churchill used to frequent and where he ran up a tab-bill of nearly £1000 over the years and allegedly never paid it... Not that this is anywhere near something overly untoward, but it shows part of his character.

  13. In terms of a gender pay gap existing as far as men on average earning more than woman then of course it exists. The issue that many rational people find difficult to get on board with the disingenuous manner in which statistics are presented where some feminists (the social media brand of feminist) suggest that gender pay gap statistics are definitive proof of sexism when in reality the statistics are just leads that you'll need to follow to see if you can find evidence rather than it already being evidence. They don't take into account the reality of choices made by women themselves to either work in sectors that don't pay high wages (because that's where their interests lie) or to not work because of family commitments (I know some will argue that's an example of sexism but if a couple have decided that's how things will work for them then that's hardly something to tackle and it's the same if they've decided to do things the other way round). Even after taken those things into account you still have to investigate statistics to find out if they're a result of sexism or if it's just coincidental data. I don't think things are as poorly represented here as in America where they just straight up interchange between "wage gap" and "unequal pay" like they're the same thing. It's truly laughable when things like sports & film are brought into the conversation. The most obvious point of "the bigger star you are and the more public interest you can draw, the more negotiation power you have" seems to be ignored. If genuine examples of sexism are found, and most likely there are a lot of examples out there to find, and they tackle those situations then fair enough but the conversation at the moment seems to be around the idea of sexism rather than anything else.
  14. They probably would've still wanted Coutinho but I doubt they could've made a bid that Liverpool would've accepted if PSG didn't buy Neymar for a crazy amount.

    Hip Hop/Rap

Just listened to the new Eminem album. Yeah... it wasn't good.
  16. The bar for being outraged on Twitter is quite low so I'm wondering how much lower that bar is on Tumblr seeing as Tumblr has the reputation for being the place where people put in the most energy to be outraged.

    Wrestling

So a women's Royal Rumble will be happening. Don't think it's a bad idea but the way they announced it was atrocious. Stopped the brawl they were having and they assembled in a line quietly behind Stephanie McMahon with them then hugging and crying together after the announcement. Made all the women look small time.
  18. We're getting blue passports boys! It doesn't allow us to do as much but the symbolism of backward minded, xenophobia led nationalism is amazing!
  19. Injury blighted career but a magnificently talented player when he played. Loved by fans who aren't cunts.
  20. The rainbow flag is too lame and garish to help tackle homophobia. This campaign just hurts people's eyes.

Why is everything painted with that flag right now?

Its embarrassing,  who actually cares if people are gay, striaght etc it makes it worse when people have to create something to make people feel accepted when these companies they set things up arent even gay.

  21. Did he get sentenced for sexual assault or rape? People on twitter are using both terms as interchangeable as usual...
  22. If found guilty it'll be interesting to see if they sell the club or if they start asset stripping.
  23. The squad is seriously shit now for this international break. This was supposed to be tests for the team and the system we were going to play at the tournament. Now it's just a waste of time. Gareth Southgate is manager as well, no Premier League team would want him but this is the man that's supposed to bring together uninterested players and get them playing...
