  1. Good warm up for the start of pre-season with an 8-0 win against Boreham Wood. Aubameyang with a hatTrick in the first 20 mins. No easy warm ups for the rest of pre-season. Atletico Madrid next followed by PSG, Chelsea & then Sevilla. Hope we don't try and prove too much of a point in those games and just make sure the squad are sharp for Man City.

Him admitting what happened was already out there. A documentary named "Murder Rap" had recordings of Keffe D admitting he was involved and also alleged that P. Daddy hired him.
  3. Happy about that. Was worried he was going to be sold off.
  4. What should be done with people who think Ramos is a better defender than Godin? :35_thinking:

Eh, if I could chose, I'd probably go with neither as a place to live. I have lived outside the States and thoroughly enjoyed it, but now with a family, I'll be staying here.

The police on their own is reason enough to not wanting to live in the US. Then on top of that you have psychos with guns (not just the psychotic police with guns) and a struggle to separate religion from politics and a ridiculous war on drugs. Making sure companies abide by regulations is apparently a bad thing. Having regulations to begin with is apparently a bad thing. Free healthcare is terrible too apparently. Education isn't taken seriously. Intelligence generally seen as an evil. And televangelists, what the actual fuck?

If Benjamin Franklin was brought back to life to see what America has become, he'd probably shoot himself in the head.

Middle East is a special part of the world, all great civilization sprang from there Mesopotamia,Persian Empire,Syria,Egypt, all major religion sprang from there, then discovery of Black gold. Its always been the hotspot of major events of the world

Nah, it's the blokes that do NRL in Australia. All they do is bicker and bitch. 'I would have done this if I was still playing' - "Nah, you're wrong their mate that wouldn't have worked because I would have done this if I was still playing'.

  10. America's military is generally a massive shit stain on the world. They'll pretend they're doing it for freedom and democracy (which, for some reason, a lot of Americans are naive enough to buy into) but in reality, if the violent dictator is their violent dictator then it's all good.
  11. 2001: A Space Odyssey - With it being unnecessarily long, lacking a good story and involving a lot of wooden acting, I can see why this film is highly rated... 5.5/10 I know that's a unpopular opinion but people that actually liked it, why?

Well that was quick... Lo Greco started like a novice by having his arm out like that trying to hold Khan off but he was just leaving a massive opening for an uppercut. The ref however stopped the fight too early even if it was obvious that Lo Greco was out of his depth.
  13. Good job from the club. Atletico charging £79 to away fans in a Europa League game is a bit of a disgrace. Then they wonder why away fans barely exist in La Liga.

Motson was probably good when you were a youngster in the 1920s mate but he's got so boring and dry. Barely commentates now. It's just 'oooh and the ...Burnley player there...crossed it...and it's gone in to the back of the net!'

Rhonda was probably the best thing on the show and fair play to her, a lot thought it was going to be the opposite. Charlotte/Asuka was a good match as well. IC Title match was okay. Styles/Nakamura was okay as well but it under delivered on the extremely high level eveyone was expected (the post match angle was interesting though). Other than that, there wasn't much to talk about from a positive point of view in my opinion.

Predictions: Men's Battle Royal: Baron Corbin Women's Battle Royal: Becky Lynch Rhonda Rousey & Kurt Angle v. Stephanie McMahon & HHH Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon v. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens Cedric Alexander v. Mustafa Ali (Cruiserweight Title) Cesaro & Sheamus v. Braun Strowman & ? (Raw Tag Titles) The Usos v. New Day v. Bludgeon Brothers (SD Tag Titles) The Miz v. Seth Rollins v. Finn Balor (IC Title) Randy Orton v. Bobby Roode v. Jinder Mahal v. Rusev (US Title) Alexa Bliss v. Nia Jax (Raw Women's Title) Charlotte v. Asuka (SD Women's Title) Brock Lesnar v. Roman Reigns (Universal Title) AJ Styles v. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Title) Not a whole lot interested in a lot of the matches. Bryan & Shane v. Zayn & Owens, the Cruiserweight Title match, the SD Tag Titles match and the WWE Title match are what I'm expected to be good (if given time). The Universal Title match might be okay and it'll be interesting to see what Rousey is like as so far her promos have been meh. The Undertaker will probably also show up and face off with Cena and they'll set up a match for next year but I've never been a big fan of either so I'm not really bothered by that either way. Just really hoping Styles/Nakamura delivers.
  18. More money being made available for police to investigate the disappearance of Madeline McCann... I mean if this was the only person in history that disappeared then fair enough but this is ridiculous at this point.
  19. I watched this around to time it came out. I don't remember it even being that sad...
  20. While some might (for some reason) have a meltdown over Elneny signing an extension and pretend that this is a big issue, in reality it's a good thing. A good squad player that can fill in and do a decent job, has done better than decent when he's stepped in this season as well.
  21. He has improved them from what they were under Moyes & van Gaal but the criticism he's received has been more about how he wants them to play where being cowardly is their default setting. The football was actually worse and a lot more limited under Moyes & van Gaal but Man Utd aren't investing insane amounts of money to be compared with how things were under Moyes & van Gaal. And he can talk about what he inherited but Man Utd were still massive favourites against Sevilla and they messed up. He could've responded to criticism in a smarter way which was actually relevant to the criticism but instead he chose to be his worst enemy and make things worse and escalate negativity.
  22. For anyone who hasn't seen the whole speech about how Man Utd not being great is normal (despite heavy investment) -
  23. Annihilation - Didn't know what to expect from this but really liked it. The whole Stranger Things/Last Of Us/Under The Skin/Enemy feel to the film really worked for me. Looks like it cost a bit to produce and I don't know how they're going to make a lot of money for it as it's not really made for the mainstream but fuck that, I really liked it. Watch it at night and in the dark. 8.5/10

The in ring product has definitely improved by a lot when the main event scene is concerned. The WCW midcard from the days of the Monday Night War was of a high standard but other than that, the wrestling was quite poor. Roman Reigns and John Cena for how limited they are, still put on better matches than the main eventers from the Monday Night War era. As far as the storylines go, they just don't feel the need to take any risks and are just doing what Vince did before the Monday Night War, which is to appeal to as much of a mainstream audience as possible which means things become stale but it's the only show in town so no one can really do anything. WWE didn't win the war because Vince was a genius, it's because he was forced to give the talent more control over their characters because he was desperate as WCW were kicking their ass. Just a shame TNA/Impact Wrestling has become next to irrelevant.
  25. That actually points to a weird trend. Whether Salah or Kane win the golden boot this season, it'll be 5 seasons in a row where the golden boot winner wasn't a part of the title winning side. It's great for good press though as the media gives teams a pass for not doing anything for a long time.
