Devil-Dick Willie Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Matthews take a fucking bow. Sri Lanka draw the match because of a champion and some rain. Quote

All the retarded bogans see the situation as 'act like cunts and win' or 'behave respectably and lose' They aren't aware that behaviour is independent of the results. Here are the top facebook comments on an article titled "Paine heralds new Aussie era" This is why I hate Australians " The “new era” is absolutely rubbish. Can’t believe the PC brigades have gotten to our national game. Embarrassing." "Just be soft and keep losing. Not a good team, only about half of them should be there" "New era looks crap" "Hard to talk rubbish when your always loosing" You say public as if all of Australia is from Cronulla. Maybe it's because I'm a bushie but I never remember anyone caring about sledging from my youth. It's fucks living in low-income boondock suburbs that come up with that shit. Besides T-Pain is hardly 'new era', he is fucking 34. You're right though, they think Glenn McGrath throwing tantrums is equivalent to success because it coincided with the greatest twenty years of Australian cricket that will probably ever happen. Devil-Dick Willie Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 India setting themselves up for 500 here. Even with the king and the wall back in the sheds. Some runs at the top was nice too. Pitch is a shite one, but the odd ball standing up and plenty staying low should excite sir Jadeja Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 This match has the potential to be really really interesting now. Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Fakhar Zaman is Afridi in the making. Playing a Test match like a T20 Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 (edited) Imam-ul-Haq was like lucky in the start with his poor selections but he is getting control of the game now. Edited December 27, 2018 by Azeem Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Shan Masood has really improved his game in this innings Quote

Bit shocked at two new openers for an MCG Boxing Day test but they held their own, especially with the short balls and chin music attempts from Starc and Hazelwood and Cummins! Vihari took a big hit on the helmet which seemed to affect him. Aggarwal dealt with it better. Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 We played three openers which gave us a great start 101-1 but than there was no middle order at all. SA need 149 to win Quote

If you ever thought you were a favourite at any point of this match you think very differently to me. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted December 28, 2018 Administrator Posted December 28, 2018 Australia bowled all out for a small 151. Managed to see the first 3 wickets within the first hour of play then fell asleep. Looks like the pitch is starting to take its toll but at the same time have more of an effect on the game. Lucky we have a big first innings total cos this second innings is a shambles Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Australia skittled for fuck all. India still have a 350 odd lead though. No way Aus are scoring any more than what, 250? On this track. Bar lots of rain this is done. Quote
Azeem Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Successive catches dropped really broke my heart and also one catch overturned by video umpire which i think was the wrong call. This test was similar to the one in Cape Town from our last tour here. Edited December 28, 2018 by Azeem Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 India need 2 on a day 5 pitch. Australia need 141. No batsmen left. This should be open and shut. Imagine losing after declaring twice tho... Quote
DeadLinesman Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Andrew Strauss’ wife has died aged 46 due to lung cancer. Always shite news around Christmas and New Year. Quote

Jesus, he gave up the role of the Director of England Cricket in October because "citing a wish to spend more time with his wife while she was undergoing treatment for cancer." she was only 46 when she passed away. R.I.P. Ruth, my thoughts go out to Andrew and all the loved ones you left behind. Quote

Devil-Dick Willie Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 An entire session rained out, then the clouds doth parted and the Indians rejoiced! My Aussie team for the final match would be. Harris Burns Khawaja Head Wade Maxwell Paine Cummins Starc Lyon Hazlewood Finch and the swamps out, Maxwell (who should have played Melbourne) and the 2 form batsmen in Wade and Burns in. Burns should be in anyway. They won't bring Wade in though because if he's in people might realise how useless Paine is. And if I were an Indian selector R Sharma Agarwal Pujara Kohli Rahane Pant Ashwin Sir RAJ Shami I Sharma Bumrah No need for 7 specialist batsmen. Spin em out, and if anyone can score a ton, the Aussies won't be able to out bat them. 1 Quote
Administrator Stan Posted December 30, 2018 Administrator Posted December 30, 2018 I'd be inclined to give Vihari another chance just because the game is a bit of a dead-rubber (moreso than others given we can't lose the series, but it'd be nice to win a series in Australia). It's something we've done before like other teams, bring in a few youngsters to see how they cope. Not sure how bad Ashwin's injury is but perhaps another spinner might get a chance. Quote

I'd play Vihari is Ashwin is out. This is no way near a dead rubber, you guys must win, it'd be historic. Quote
