Eco Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Can we just laugh that Hertha has given up 5 goals to a team that is a relegation favorite for the second division?
Michael Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Anyone want to buy Stark off me after that world class piece of defending we just witnessed?
Eco Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Just now, Michael said: Anyone want to buy Stark off me after that world class piece of defending we just witnessed? Just try to sell him for double what you paid and see who bites.
Eco Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Don't think it's been mentioned, but Mainz are up 3-1 now.
Michael Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Lukebakio pulls a goal back for Hertha, but the keeper really should have done better there.
nudge Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Hope Braunschweig manage to hold on their lead until the final whistle
Eco Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Ugh...Schalke's match was just called off as the Turkish Munich club are fighting that they are in fact the best Amateur side from the region.
nudge Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Aaaand it's over! Braunschweig advance to the 2nd round! Well deserved and a fantastic match
Michael Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Well done to Eintracht Braunschweig for defeating Hertha Berlin. That was a very entertaining game to watch.

Cannot cheer for Braunschweig though as they never ever would've been promoted without the pandemic and the ridiculous way the league was continued in Liga 3. Last year they got themselves player after player without any concept which left them with a huge squad. In winter they unsuccessfuly tried to get rid of some of those players. But that is of course very practical when suddenly you have to play every 3 days for months with 5 possible substitutions per match.

So they profited from a favourable set of circumstances in an extraordinary situation created by the global pandemic and the DFB; can't really blame them? It's not that they planned for it... The only question is, warum nicht Waldweg?

Eco Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 What a great weekend ahead, storms here so I'll be able to watch a fair bit of matches this weekend.
SchalkeUK Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 What a weird world we live in at the moment! Great Friday watching NYC Tennis, Manchester Cricket against Australia, the start of the UK Championship and the last 4 extra minutes with Brunswick hanging on and on top of that the Court in Munich stopping our Pokal match on Sunday. Can't ever remember a game anywhere stopped as a result of a legal ruling - unless anyone knows different so we must let all the others sort themselves out and we will have to wait without a pre BL start match fro more practice. Still here we have Liverpool/Leeds to look forward to today and before that a chance to see if Woy will pick my piccie man at 3pm. On top of that the forecast says 20+ degrees of sunshine - almost enough to forget about Covid for a few hours Have a great weekend people!
Eco Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 No big shockers this morning. RB, Wolfsburg, Osnaburck, Frankfurt, Bochum, Gladbach, Koln, Augsburg, and Furth all win. Ingolstadt vs Dusseldorf, Ulm vs Ergebirge, Karlsrucher vs Union, and Carl vs Bremen are the rest of the matches.
