Scott Brown is clearly done at this level and offered them nothing in attack and was too slow to deal with their counter attacks. And still... Is on for the entire match. As for their new £5 million goalkeeper, their second goal isn't a great look for him. Poland are 29th in the UEFA coefficient, Cyprus are 16th. Polish clubs have a horrific record in European competitions. Wow, didn't know there was that big a gulf!

The Cypriot league seems to have a lot of shady ways of 'paying' players. Ridiculously low attendances, but always seems to be lots of Spanish and South Americans kicking about, with very high turnover in players. Administrator Stan 18,383 Posted August 26, 2020 Administrator Share Posted August 26, 2020 Lennon's angry post-match comments are quite telling. 'if you don't want to be here leave'. A reporter asks if that is to do with knowing players don't want to be at the club, Lennon says 'in some cases yes'...

Michael 1,116
An important 2-0 win for Dynamo Kyiv in the end and they advance to the play-off round. Rodrigues and Shaparenko scored the vital goals in the end. Dynamo played much better in the 2nd half and they will now face either Ghent or Rapid Vienna in the next round. Michael 1,116
PAOK have taken a surprise lead at home to Benfica. Giannoulis was the scorer for the Greek club. Benfica have been the better side in this match so far and they will want to find an equaliser soon, or risk being knocked out.

Yes, Zivkovic with the second goal for PAOK. Greek sides tend to be tough at home, but they have defended well and have caught Benfica out when they have attacked. But Benfica have controlled this match with no real end result so far. They have to throw everything at the Greek club now, they have nothing to lose. These one leg ties do give the advantage to the home side though, however the clubs have no choice but to follow this set-up created by UEFA. Benfica with a new coach and many new signings, this was always going to be difficult, but they should've won at least this round. Jorge Jesus has a lot of explaining to do, it's hard to understand why he left Seferovic for 70 minutes on the pitch when he had Darwin Nunez and Carlos Vinicius on the squad, who are better striker options. Michael 1,116
Well PAOK do cause an upset and knock Benfica out of the Champions League qualifying rounds. Benfica's Rafa Silva scored a consolation goal in injury time, but it was too little too late for Benfica as they have lost 2-1 to PAOK.

Yes, Nunez and Vinicius are very good strikers, but they also have Waldschmidt, another very good striker. I think Jorge Jesus opted for the experience of Seferovic in the end. Benfica will be really disappointed with this defeat as they could really have done with the lucrative amounts of money that the Champions League would have offered them. Michael 1,116
Grajovac pulls a goal back in injury time for Rapid Vienna with a lovely strike after a clever run. But his goal was in vain as Ghent hang on to win 2-1.
